Rockin' 6V6 tube breakup in a punchy 1x12" combo.

Little sister to the DR40, the DR20M is a dual 6V6-based amp, delivering 20W of great clean and distortion tones. The three 12AX7 preamp tubes stay very clean while the power tubes provide the breakup. The DR series turns on a dime, cleaning up with a quick turn of the guitar volume knob. The circuit is designed to maximize the power from the 6V6 tubes to deliver great crunch. Great for rock, blues, jazz and country.

  • Power: 20W (tube)

  • Speaker: 1x12" Warehouse

Comments about Mahalo DR20 20W 1x12 Guitar Tube Combo:

This is a fantastic amp with warm fat cleans and a nice thick gain. The EQ controls are responsive and ability to dial in what you want with or without pedals is simple. I like the grill at the top of the amp both aesthetically and I think its good for the overall tone of the amp. The amp is pretty heavy at around 60 lbs. Its definitely not a Fender or Vox clone but can be dialed up to sound similar to each. It has its own thing going on which I really like. I own a lot of amps and since getting this Mahalo, its been the one I flip on when I go down to the dungeon to practice. The volume and gain controls allow you to get great tone at low volumes but this thing can get loud if you need it to. Sound and build quality are definitely top notch. I reached out to the guys over at Mahalo with some questions on their Facebook page and they were super responsive, and truly interested in my experience with the amp which was refreshing. Great guys over there. I learned about Mahalo from seeing the guys in Blackberry Smoke using them and even though this is a different model (they use the Mahalo Katy 66) I was interested in their offerings. Great amp. Highly recommend!!!
