OVERVIEW

A killer Marshall half stack with loads of features for an amazing price.

For full-on performance, the Marshall 100W MG100HCFX head will let you perform like a pro while going easy on your pocket. This impressive head is the pinnacle of the MG range.

Its front panel features are the same as the MGs from MG50CFX upwards, combining tried-and-tested solid-state tonal circuitry with awesome digital FX.

The MG100HCFX's incredible selection of FX is switchable using Marshall's revolutionary Stompware footswitching technology developed originally for the JVM Series amps.

One of the reasons tube amps "feel" so good is the way the power stage interacts with speakers-allowing them to behave differently depending on the frequency being played. Most solid-state power stages don't do this and so feel "stiff" to the player. All MG power stages successfully simulate this desirable valve amp characteristic using Marshall's Frequency Dependent Dampening technology (FDD).

Comments about Marshall MG100HCFX 100W Head with MG412CF 4x12 Cab:

Good product for the price - easy to use and good sounds. I'm sure some of the higher end Marshall tube stacks blow this away, but for the price, I added a second cabinet to make it a full stack. What a deal!!!

I would recommend this item, but, as always, do your research and make sure this is a good match for you.

Comments about Marshall MG100HCFX 100W Head with MG412CF 4x12 Cab:

Just bought this amp three weeks ago and I'm still figuring it out but all I can say for now is I love it. I have been playing for about fifty years and have owned mostly Peavey and Fender amps.I have played Marshall amps that were owned by friends or bandmates and they were killer amps. For the money this amp great.

Comments about Marshall MG100HCFX 100W Head with MG412CF 4x12 Cab:

I've had tube amps in the past and was tired of the maintenance and expenses. I've had this for over a year now, and like I said in the header this amp is a beast! Super powerful, and you get great tones! I've never been a pedal guy, I keep my rigs minimalistic. I plug in and play. The overdrive is amazing, and the dampening adds a special boost that sounds sick! Don't believe those that say "tube is the best"....this amp is the best. After Every gig I have people asking about the head and that can't believe its solid state. And it's very versatile. I play a Fender 50's reissue modified strat, 1990 Gibson Les Paul Studio, and a 1965 Gibson Melody Maker modified with a Duncan antiquity. All sound phenomenal! Get this amp now!!

So out of the box, the sound isn't that great as others have mentioned. The clean channels are decent and the OD 1 and 2 channels product little distortion and the tone is strange. I plugged my boss pedal board into and it made the amp sound much better.

Comments about Marshall MG100HCFX 100W Head with MG412CF 4x12 Cab:

I recently switched from being the drummer to guitarist of my punk band. So I needed an amp. I basically wanted the biggest, loudest amp I could afford and at the same time something worth the money. A combo amp could've got the job done, but why spend the money on a 2 x 12 combo when I can get a 4 x 12 with a head that I can always add to later? I'm very happy with this amp. It's loud, it's mean, and it totally fits my style. The only thing I'd say against it is that it's got more options than I really need. All the fx and reverb are probably never going to get used, and it can be tricky customizing your own presets, but it's not too difficult to get the hang of. BUT LISTEN TO YOUR AMP. Don't just crank every knob up to 10 or this is going to be a muddy mess. Dial your levels in and this thing will sound like a beast.

I bought this amp combo after my last one died on stage. The clean channel was my only concern. This amp is awesome. It has built in features I didn't even know was there when I bought it. I can't say anything about the crunch channel because I've never used it. As far as nice loud and clean signal goes.. This is the one.

I'm a old school kind of guy but after I worked on the settings I like I'm happy. When I set the setting I found I needed to even adjust in a live setting for volume which was kinda weird but it was easy to adjust. The best thing was it can get a real full sound.
