Affordable Marshall tone in a gig-worthy rig.

This Marshall half stack from the MG series includes the MG100HFX amp head and MG412A (angled) cabinet.

MG100HFX Amplifier Head

The MG100HFX amp head combines 100W of raw Marshall power with the versatility of 4 storable, footswitchable channels. You also get digital effects including: reverb, chorus, flanger, phaser, and delay. It packs fully analog tone circuits, providing the distinctive Marshall tone and pure organic flexibility. Using digitally controlled analog functions, the MG4 Series MG100HFX also delivers precise control and superb flexibility without masking your guitar's own sound or making your tone sound processed and artificial.

The Marshall MG100HFX head also features a frequency-dependent damping circuit. This circuit ensures that the sound reproduces the same interaction between amplifier and speaker that occurs in professional valve amplification, making the MG100HFX amplifier sound and feel alive.

A 2-button footswitch is included, but with a Stompware 4-button footcontroller (not included), you can easily store and recall your favorite settings, playing seamlessly through your music in true professional style.

Marshall MG412 Speaker Cabinet:

The 8-ohm, 120W MG412 speaker cab is loaded with 4 x 12" custom-voiced Marshall/Celestion speakers that really crank out that authentic Marshall tone. The guitar speaker is designed for maximum road-readiness with reinforced corners and recessed and side bar handles.

This Amplifier is a STEAL for this Price

Comments about Marshall MG4 Series MG100HFX and MG412A Half Stack:

Bought this amp a year and a half ago with my saved up birthday money and man, was I impressed. I wasn't too sure what to expect after playing around with some more expensive tube amps in the music shops that there was no way I could afford being an 18 year old high school student at the time, but this amp blew me away. I needed something to bring to my friend's garage to jam with because he had his drum set and my other buddy who joined us brought his bass and I couldn't be heard over them with my 25w practice amp I had. Surely enough this was a great solution to my problem. It's loud, but still clear when I need it loud enough to be heard along with the guys. Couldnt ask for more in an amplifier at this price.
There's so many neat things about this amp. I like the way you can store all of the settings into each channel on the amp, so you dont have to mess with the knobs every time u switch channels. But then you can also turn that "manual mode" off so you can play with the settings and effects without changing the settings on your preset channels. The effects in the amp are also really nice for on-board effects and are really fun to experiment with. I didn't purchase the fancy programmable floor pedal with the tuner and what not in it, but the one it comes with to change the channels does all I need to do except for changing the volume at night so I dont wake the neighbors (or even worse, my parents).
I've had this amp for about a year and a half now and it still is working like it was when it came out the box. Marshall amps have always been my favorite to play with simply because I've never used one and been dissapointed.
Like I said, for this price, this amp is a steal. It's fun to use, sounds great, and sure as heck does pack a punch. Anyone who is looking for an affordable stack without sacrificing quality should buy this amplifier.

Comments about Marshall MG4 Series MG100HFX and MG412A Half Stack:

I bought this amp 2 years ago and its still going like it was brand new. I tried others, but they did not come close the sound this amp gives out. Even at low volumes you can still enjoy the voice of this amp. if you have a budget and you want a nice amp this is the one to get. The onboard effects will do the job for last minute shows or smaller shows where you dont need to go all crazy. but if you really want to let this amp shine add some effects pedals (ex. boss) i use the me 70 and it the amp will surprise you ! I guess if there was one complaint from anyone... it would be that its toooo loud!!!!!! other than that this amp wont let u down.. unless you drop from a skyscraper or tall building..... ok no more jokes

Comments about Marshall MG4 Series MG100HFX and MG412A Half Stack:

My personal opinion the company is selling themselves short with this price iv played it against 1970 tube marshalls and some of there more expensive models and blown them out the water this amp is worth every penny and much much more
Iv been playing for about 5 years iv had some pretty big gigs in and outdoors this half stack is well worth its money and more iv play multiple amps and own multiple but the sound you can get out of this amp is by far anything less than amazing from blues to rock to heavy metal to country iv played it all and not had a compition or even a strainfull effort on getting the sound i want if u want a cheap way to play loud and sound just like the records your playing with this is your amp no doubt about it

Good tone, good price

Comments about Marshall MG4 Series MG100HFX and MG412A Half Stack:

I run a black heart 100hh and a JVM410 and this one holds it's own. Its not as loud but it gets the job done.
The features of this head will blow you away. It can go from crisp to crunch even a little dirty if called for. As far as tone goes it sounds great but even better with a BBE sonic stomp in the effects loop. The optional stomp ware foot switch is a must. It gets a 9 because the cab does not really have that big cab fullness to it. All in all it it were lost or stolen I would replace it
You really can't beat the price.
