The horizontal bar design allows you to neatly arrange your pedals and hide the patch cables/power cables. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone how travels and relies on working effects. Having pedals neatly arranged prevents failures and makes using effects more "fool-proof".

If you just play in your bedroom, this is still a good option, but maybe go for the soft case. The hard cases are beefy and overkill unless you travel with your board often.

Have had many pedaltrsin boards. All nice. Bought a hard case to fit my pt2, but the pedaltrsin risers for the back row of pedals, made it virtually impossible to close the case. Had to return the set and go back to my mono case for my pt2. The mono is ok, but needed more protection. Gonna look in to a custom case to accommodate my board.

Comments about Pedaltrain PT-2 Pedal Board with Hardshell ATA Flightcase:

I was shopping around for a pedal board and, Pedal Train appeared to be about the best choice for my needs. I liked the powered units but, there was not enough versatality for putting together a usable unit and, some of the reviews were not that great. I kicked around going with the padded bag or the heavy duty case and, for the extra money the heavy duty case won me over instantly. I have my amp in a similiar case and, yes it does add weight just like the case that comes with this pedal board but, the protection factor far outweighs the extra weight of the case. The pedal board itself is made of a light weight metal and, very sturdy and, the hardshell flight case is all you will ever need to give protection to all your pedals. The way I feel about things is that if you are going to have something that is top notch quality made and professionally usable go first class. It's worth the extra cost that you will pay for professional setup.

Comments about Pedaltrain PT-2 Pedal Board with Hardshell ATA Flightcase:

I found no issues with the unit. I bought a VooDoo Lab power supply to power the pedals and have no problems with it. I have room in the case to store my cables and plugs.
The unit is very durable and can withstand being transported to various gigs. I was able to set up my pedals like I want using the online (You Tube) demo. I have gone through both SKB and Furman boards, and this board beats them hands down. Buy it.
Excellent. It can take the road and still protect the pedals inside.
I got a good deal for it.

Comments about Pedaltrain PT-2 Pedal Board with Hardshell ATA Flightcase:

I've been using a large ATA pedalboard. It is great for protecting my pedals, but eats up a lot of floor space onstage. I like the compact design of the Pedaltrain. I purchased this along with a PedalPower 2 and I can't believe the quality. Also, it takes up less than half of the floorspace of my previous pedalboard. Really heavy duty ATA case, strong lightweight construction on the pedalboard. Excellent value. Two thumbs up!

I'm speaking directly to anyone who is on the fence about buying this PT-2 Or one of the bigger models like the Pro or Pt-3. I was unsure which to get, ended up getting the Pt-2, wish I had gotten the a bigger one... But regardless the pedalboard is still awesome

Comments about Pedaltrain PT-2 Pedal Board with Hardshell ATA Flightcase:

            Very satisfied. Would buy another.
It has enough room for about 9 pedals including wah. The 6 inch patch cables I have connect to the pedals, but not all can be routed under the bars of the pedal. I have yet to buy a power supply, as I still have some 9 volts. But the Voodoo P.S. looks up to snuff. The velcro has been placed on the boards and pedals, and we will see how long they last. Right now, I can grab the pedalboard with all my pedals on it with one had, and turn it 90 degrees w/o having any of the pedals drop.

The case is solid. Heavy and tight. The clamps are solid. No complaints, so far.
            Quality is high.
            Value is high.

On another note, I must state the problem I had ordering thru the site. I had to go to the phone to place my order because I THOUGHT the site didn't take my order. Well I doubled my order twice. But I must say the customer service was excellent, with the returns made easily and efficiently. Originally I got an SKB PS45, but it was more than I needed, so I returned it for this Pedaltrain.

            Happy Customer!

This is a pedalboard that can literally have the spectrum of bar use and arena gigs. It does what it is supposed to do... It holds and protects your pedals and signal chain. Need I say more?... Great product. Would recommend this over the bulkiness of a 38x18 custom board if you're active in your church as a volunteer musician.

Comments about Pedaltrain PT-2 Pedal Board with Hardshell ATA Flightcase:

But is the angle right?? Just switched to this after having a Furman for 2 years. The Furman was fine, versatile, had no problems with it. But...it was FLAT, and too small. And didn't need the loops and outlets. For the rocker-type pedals like my volume and wah, flat is preferred. The other stompboxes need an angled board, so that the back row is easier to stomp. But for me, putting a 'rocker' pedal on an angled board creates too much angle when rocking the pedal back. My ankle doesn't like it! Something to think about...So, I keep my volume and wah flat on the floor beside the PT-2. The case is large enough to hold the loaded board, volume, wah, a few cords, and straps, etc.. Works for me! The boards large enough to hold everything, have too big a footprint for the stages in many places we play. Lastly, don't buy a cheap power supply! But Beware! the brackets that come w/ the PT-2 for a VooDoo pwr supply, which is what I bought, didn't fit well at all. Required extensive cutting and filing to fit between the bars and hold the Voodoo properly. (Admittedly, I am a perfectionist and ex-machinist.) 6 Boss-size pedals in 2 Rows is max IMHO. Been playing (Top 40 variety, or Contemporary Christian) 40+ years...happiest I've ever been with my pedal setup!!... Ain't cheap though!

Comments about Pedaltrain PT-2 Pedal Board with Hardshell ATA Flightcase:

I purchased this to replace a very inexpensive pedal board case which began to fall apart within months of purchase. That being said, this is a huge upgrade, the board itself is solid and lightweight with plenty of room for all my effects and room underneath for my power supply and all the patch cables and power cables to hide. The case is extremely well built and has enough room for my board, all my cables (3 20' instrument cables, and 1 20' TRS cable) as well as my power strip and an extension chord with enough room for a standard sized wah pedal left over. My only complaint would be the fact that the case arrived with one of the rubber feet having broken off, probably in shipping. It was easily fixed but still a disappointment.

Comments about Pedaltrain PT-2 Pedal Board with Hardshell ATA Flightcase:

Got this to hold my pedals for bass. I got the Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2+ Power Supply and used the brackets that PT-2 provided to mount it. The screws that came with the PT-2 to mount the Voodoo to the bracket were very cheap. One broke while I was finishing tightening it. But the 3 other screws held it securely so I left it as is. Had the PT-2 up and running with the Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2+ Power Supply and all of my bass pedals in under 2 hours (the Voodoo mounting took less than an hour and was easy with a drill).

The ATA case is a beast. It's very heavy duty (and kind of heavy). The pedalboard itself is very strong and lightweight

I picked mine up from guitar center. They didn't have the model with the soft shell case so I had to take the one with the older hard case. I don't know how tough the case is but It looks like it can handle local use, however I wouldn't want to fly with it. The only thing to remember is when you're affixing the power supply to the bottom of the board YOU WILL NEED a drill and stronger screws than the ones which come with the kit. I had to make a quick run over to a store to buy some tougher screws and borrow a power drill to attach my Voodoo Labs PP2. It was an undertaking but once I was done setting up my signal chain I've enjoyed myself since.

I used a homemade pedal board for about 3 years until I recently acquired enough pedals to warrant buying a new one. I shopped around and concluded that this was the best price for the quality. When it got to my house I knew right away that I had made the best decision. The construction on this thing is VERY sturdy, and I am sure that it will last me for 10 years or more and withstand the constant scars of touring. The ATA case is built like a tank, and it has enough room to hold my power strip, 1 spots (I have two), and 2 cables. The pedalboard is ROOMY!!!! I managed to fit 10 pedals on there and have room for 1 more (wah, volume, tuner, eq, 3 distortions, phaser, 2 delay). If I ever buy more pedals and need another board I will not hesitate a second to buy another of these bad boys. Hands down worth all that it costs.

Great pedalboard, and the case is great too. There's a little room left at the top to store all my cables - two guitar cables, two power cords, midi cable, etc. The board itself is awesome, especially when paired with the Vodoo Labs power supply. Very light and fits all my pedals with no problems.

This case and pedal board are great! I do not regret the purchase at all. The case is tough and will hurt more walls and door jams than will hurt it. The pedal board is great and lets me set up and organize my pedals so that set up and use are a snap! Great product! The only downside to the ATA flight case is the weight. If you are not interested in lugging this thing around at gigs then I suggest a different option. However, what gives the pedal case its strength are the heavy duty materials used to create it. Thus the weight.

Nice pedal board. I was undecided between this model and the PT-Jr. Went for this one to make sure the board would have plenty of room. With 8 pedals mounted, there's still plenty of room to add a wah and volume pedal later on. The effects currently mounted actually would fit on a Jr, so unless you really want to have a lot of pedals at your disposal, the Pt-Jr is probably plenty big. MF representative was very polite and helpful; shipping was super fast.

Comments about Pedaltrain PT-2 Pedal Board with Hardshell ATA Flightcase:

I assumed early on that it was cheaper to build your own board, one that has a case and that can be easily setup... plug and play. Wrong... buying plywood, screws, paint or upholstery and a road case is WAY MORE expensive. After buying this for some students I "coach" I realized how easy it was so set up all their pedals. What took me a week and a half to build, layout, drill holes and upholster the deck, took me an hour to drill in the Voodoo labs Pedal Power, lay down the velcro, and layout my signal chain. I have a custom pedalboard made professionally and it hasn't failed yet, but the day it does, I'll be ordering one of these. The case makes it awkward to pull the pedalboard out, but it's still worth it.

Comments about Pedaltrain PT-2 Pedal Board with Hardshell ATA Flightcase:

Absolutely love this board since the moment it arrived. The flight case is built like a brick you know what however the rubber feet on the bottom are chinsey and will probably need reinforcing one day. The board itself is like a clean slate upon which you can custom engineer your chain. Comes with plenty of hook and loop velcro for all your favorite stomps. Note this board is not powered! I personally powered mine with two Dunlop bricks tucked up neatly under the pedaltrain. Dont be afraid to drill! Make it your own.
