1961 Precision Bass Relic

The 1961 Precision Bass Relic is a fitting testament to the innovative style and simplicity of the original instrument, showcasing classic features from the early era of rock with a few custom enhancements. The two-piece select alder body sports a well-worn Relic lacquer finish for the battered look, while the quartersawn maple neck features a ’60-style “oval C” profile, topped by a 9.5”-radius flat-lam rosewood fingerboard with 20 medium jumbo frets for added vintage appeal. A dynamic low end comes from a period-accurate hand-wound ’62 P-bass pickup, with master volume, master tone and vintage P-Bass wiring. Additional features include a four-ply brown shell pickguard, vintage-style bass bridge with threaded steel saddles, vintage-style tuning machines, bone nut and disk string tree. A deluxe hardshell case, strap and certificate of authenticity are also included.
