The reasonably priced JS3V Concert Bass features a basswood double cutaway body with a quilted maple top, bolt-on maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard with pearloid sharkfin inlays. This gives you nice projection from the highest to lowest end in a package that will also capture the eyes. Other appointments include 24 jumbo frets; an ample 34" scale; Jackson dual humbucking high output pickups with neck volume, bridge volume, bass, mid, and treble controls; a high mass bridge; Jackson High Mass Tuners; and black hardware. The JS3V has a gloss polyester finish and comes in transparent amber or transparent black (choose in the drop down menu).

I wanted a 34" scale 5-string bass. The Jackson had what I wanted and advertising said 34" scale. Received bass. Action felt stiff. I measured it and it was 35" scale. I'm assuming the 4-string is 34" scale.
Bummed me out. Sent it back. I liked the bass but I don't care for 35" scale.

There was a significant amount of fret buzz but it was easily fixed with some minor adjustments. This is a really great bass for the price. I highly recommend it.

My only gripe about this is that i have to adjust the position of my hand when i play,the volume knob is to close to the bridge pickup where I usually rest my pinky and ring finger. Other than that this thing is bad@ss!! especially for the price.
