OVERVIEW

(Open Box) Custom contour body, comfortable neck and great-sounding electronics.

The Mitchell TB500 bass starts with a custom contour alder body and one-piece, comfortable-profile maple neck with a smooth Indian rosewood fretboard. Standard split-single and single-coil paraffin-dipped alnico-V pickups go from blues to classic to modern rock, while mitigating microphonics and feedback. Separate volume controls for each pickup provide complete sound sculpting, along with a master tone for even more sonic options. The high-mass modern bridge ensures a robust tone, smooth sustain for days, and solid intonation.

All Mitchell basses receive a complete stateside setup and quality control inspection to ensure exceptional playability.

TB500 Features

• Alder body and one-piece maple neck with 20 jumbo frets for traditional tone and feel

Comments about Mitchell TB500 Traditional Bass Guitar:

It's an upgrade from my old school Peavey. I'm a guitar/keyboard player; wanna be bass. We switch instruments often during the evening on the gig. The tone is wonderful; nice lows and highs that fill the room at any volume, Steely Dan to Red Hot Chilli's, 70's 80's rock, perfect weight for 4-5 sets. The tone controls do not change the sound much but an adjustment on the amp covers that. The picture's on-line shows a much brighter white than what you get; it's like a faded white color w/some light purple tone? None the less its sounds and feels just right, smooth comfortable neck, excellent hardware. Got a discount coupon and no tax to Florida, not sure if I would have purchased otherwise. I play it through my GK 15inch.

Comments about Mitchell TB500 Traditional Bass Guitar:

Bought this bass to try because it looked great and was on sale. Disappointed when I opened the box because of how small the body is, thought it would be comparable to my Precision, but it was much smaller, more like an Ibanez. Neck felt very good and played well, electronics seem good, as well as the pickups. Overall quality was very good. Nice bass overall, but I returned due to the small size of the body, if you don't mind that issue, I believe you will enjoy the bass

Comments about Mitchell TB500 Traditional Bass Guitar:

Played this along side some of the big known names in the business. Could dial it in with ease and was able to get some solid tones out of it. Good for jazz, country, blues, and even some rock.

Comments about Mitchell TB500 Traditional Bass Guitar:

this bass a close clone of the musicman Caprice. it has a 1.58 inch nut which is in between a P bass and J Bass. the neck is really unbelievable on this you need to try it out at the local GS . pickups are decent. absolutely no fret noise even after it shipped with a pretty flat neck. the only con is the truss rod adjustment is super tight need to be careful about not making up finish.

Comments about Mitchell TB500 Traditional Bass Guitar:

I rated this a 5 star due to price Vs quality. I am very impressed with the quality build of this bass. Graph Tec nut, Alder body, maple neck with rosewood fret board, 3 ply pickguard, High mass bridge and Alnico pickups. I usually have to adjust intonation , neck, new strings and replace pickups on most things I buy. Not on this bass. Out of the box I was shocked. Intonation right on, action good ,pickups surprised me and plays wonderful! The quality is that of a much higher price point bass. Mitchell is definitely a contender!
