The philosophy behind the Schecter Stiletto Studio bass is to build on simplicity while still delivering the rich and commanding tone produced by its mahogany body, EMG pickups and its active 3-band EQ. This Schecter mainstay is available in Emerald Green Burst with a satin finish on flamed maple top. The neck thru body design with 18 volts of power gives this bass the ultimate in thump. Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Stiletto Studio-5 5-String Electric Bass Guitar:

I really like this bass and think that Schecter gives you a lot of value for the money! I have owned several Warwick's, Spector's and many other basses over my 20 years of playing bass and actually like this bass Better than my $3000 Warwick Streamer LX5 in the way it plays and sounds. Yes, the Stream felt a little more comfortable due to its shape and concave back. But Come on... I really have no problem there either. The price asked for this bass is far less and I would willingly pay double and still feel like it is a good value. In fact I will be purchasing their Stage 5 model, as well.

The reason for my 4 star rating is purely due to the bridge. I will be swapping this out soon. It has No intonation screws and I do not like having to mess around with chiseling the saddles back and forth to set intonation. I'm replacing with the KSM bridge which I feel is one of the best on the market! I will say that the Stage 5 does come with a better bridge, as it does have the screws in place for adjusting your intonation. But the bridge is the only downfall I could find in my 2 weeks of owning this bass.
