I'm playing bass for 2 years. Almos 1 year in a band. I's really cool bass for a beginner, cuz i've learned to play on it and it sounds really great. I've played it with ART tube preamp and Ampeg two 4*10 cabinets and SVT Classic Bass Head. Also threw Warwick BlueCab 250watt and it sounds really cool and clean from both. Specially with Ernie Ball strings.Good for fingers, for pick and for slapping. So if you're learning, with this bass you can learn any style. The only minus that i saw tha the finish on neck sometimes thin and when you after time you gonna see black spot on the back of the neck. This passive bass better sounding than actives for this price, cuz it has better wood quality. So if you're gonna buy this also buy some preamp and then you'll have really cool active bass with sound like Warwick, Music Man (pick) and ThunderBird (neck pickup only). It will be enuf for 2 years of your musicians life. Bless you.

Average beginners bass. Terrible playability... AND terrible tone (lack of range) strings hold on too tightly to play slap or tapping comfortably. Frets are horrible and take time to get used to. It weighs a lot. On the otherhand I suppose it would make an ok beginner bass as it is cheap and sturdily built; however even in that debt. There are better options. Total shame on Warwick trying to sell surplus wood with strings under their brand like that.

I could not believe the price

By TATO

from Buenos Aires, Argentina

I ordered it planning to upgrade later or use it as a back up.. got it, played it, and Couldn't believe I had paid so little for so much! It's a bit harsh with double tapping so I replaced the frets.

If you like a good bass for a good price, you should soooo get this one. =) It sounds REALLY nice on the high end and puts out some awesome sound on the low end. A good all around bass, I'd recommend it for any bass player that can't afford the more expensive basses.

Tried and tried to adjust the action and the bridge to stop this thing from buzzing. Had a pro technician try too...finally gave up and sent it back! Beware!

Great deal

I ordered this bass from here and I must say that I got it for a steal. Nobody sells these where I live so I took a leap of faith and bought it. I'm just starting out and I don't think that I could have found a better bass to learn on. Buy this bass

Pleased with this guy

This bass is a steal for the price. I really like the flxiblity that this bass gives you, that is for a passive bass. You can get some classic P Bass sounds all the way up to something funky. The workmanship is spot on. The finish in the red is good except it does show smudges easliy. The pick ups are a bit soft but not bad. The neck is great and the body is neither light nor heavy. This guy sounds a lot better than Ibanez or Fenders for a fraction of the price. The original strings I didn't like, but some Ernie Balls or some DR's work great with this bass. Even the Black label Warwicks are good. The sustain is nice as well. For the money you can't go wrong.

Very nice

By fajita

This is probably the best bass to buy if you're looking to get a high end warwick without the high end price. the soapbar pickups give it a very nice tone. It's really unbelievable, and definitely a good second or third bass.

My first bass to call my own

By BuiltForSpeed

from West Monroe, Louisiana

I had been playing an Ibanez GSR200 for a while, but the electronics went out on me, and I had been shopping around for a new guitar anyway, so I chose the Streamer and have loved it immensely. I've only been playing for a little over a year, but I have had experienced players say that this guitar is among the smoothest and easiest to handle they've ever come across.
