Value is mentioned in first paragraph.
Finally arrived today. Looks really cool with silver sparkle body with black racing stripe and black pickguard & head piece. My '68 Mustang (candy apple red) has split pick ups. This one has one large pick up and sounds pretty good. Cool volume & tone knobs, easy to see. It was a bit heavy though. Was hoping it was lighter. Weight is one of my concerns in buying process. After 3 or 4 sets, it can wear you out. But I am 60. I guess it's ok for younger players. Very decent from Squire!

Comments about Squier Mikey Way Signature Mustang Electric Bass Guitar:
I absolutely love this bass. The sound this thing puts out is MONSTROUS! I owned the Squier Jaguar before but this Mustang blows the Jag away honestly. For the price/performance ratio this is your best bet for a short-scale bass. I recommend you put heavier gauge strings on a short-scale to compensate for the shorter scale length, to get the string tension back up to regular scale level.
She stays in tune well, and the neck is satin so it is a fast machine all around. Couldn't be happier.
The setup on this puppy was great even out of the box. I laugh at people who mark down their ratings because the stock strings on guitars they buy aren't the best, well DUH, you have to put fresh quality strings on a guitar when you buy it!
Being short-scale, I put fatter strings on this Mustang, I use Ernie Ball Cobalts and my god this bass just lays waste to any other bass I have played in both sound quality, playability, and then of course, the LOOKS.
This thing is a glamorous instrument and the silver sparkle looks like a liquid metal slurry, with an ever so slight gold tinge to it. If youre looking to make a visual impression as well as have fantastic heavy and hard sounding bass look no further.
I am so pleased to own this guitar, would recommend to anyone, but especially for people smaller in stature and anyone who wants to make an impression.

Comments about Squier Mikey Way Signature Mustang Electric Bass Guitar:
I've been wanting a short scale bass so i dropped some hints around Christmas and i got it. absolutely horrible setup from the factory. every string buzzed all the way down. im not much of a luthier, but i adjusted the neck a bit as well as the bridge and got it "playable". i had to wait till my set up guy to open up after the holidays.
The strings that came on it i found "sticky". after a good setup, new strings, fret dressing (they stuck way too far out),the action is playable. and i can live with the action. although i would like it a touch lower
i do enjoy the sound now. nice pickup. beautiful finish. nice bridge and tuners. i get a lot of compliments about it.
bottom line. this is a nice bass for the $$. but you get what you pay for. after you throw another after you throw a little cash at it for a good setup and some strings, its a great bass.

Have been waiting to get a Mustang with a Humbucker. This thing sounds great. I have a full sized Fender Telecaster bass and a Gibson SG that I use for gigs and was looking for a good practice guitar. Great value and has the Humbucker sound that I like. It arrived in 3 days!

Comments about Squier Mikey Way Signature Mustang Electric Bass Guitar:
This is a great little bass guitar with only one finish flaw that I can not understand. Why they would put a satin neck on a vintage style bass. It's a heavy bass with lots of sound. Great humbucker pickup. Well worth the money!

Comments about Squier Mikey Way Signature Mustang Electric Bass Guitar:
I bought this bass primarily for the short scale characteristic of the Mustang bass, but also wanted something bigger than the Bronco bass. As a gift for my 9-10 year old student, it will fit him well and will still be playable even when he reaches his teens. I tuned and played it after it arrived and am impressed with the humbucker pick-up response, especially with regard to the upper fret "D" string notes.
