Comments about Sterling by Music Man Sub Series Ray5 5-String Electric Bass Guitar:

Ok bass, but seriously you'd be better off with a Squier jazz bass. Or even better save your money and get a standard fender and you'll be alot happier. This bass just felt and sounded like what it is, a cheap overseas made bass. Wasn't happy with it at all and I'm not a picky player. Steer clear!

Comments about Sterling by Music Man Sub Series Ray5 5-String Electric Bass Guitar:

I just got my mint green Ray5 and I must say that I was shocked by the quality of the instrument. Because it's "cheap" bass, I was skeptical of it but it really is a great bass for its value. I've owned all sorts of basses throughout the year, you name it, cheap and expensive, imported and made in USA, and so on. The build on this one is quite nice and it sounds full and funky too. After just a little set up, it really pulled through. I'm very very satisfied.

Comments about Sterling by Music Man Sub Series Ray5 5-String Electric Bass Guitar:

mint green finish is awesome, but that's where the good stuff ends. Sharp, unfinished fret ends. Cheap bridge, with saddles I couldn't raise high enough to avoid fret buzz on B and E strings. Bridge mounted too close to neck for proper intonation at 12th fret. Would probably be OK for a novice player who just wants a cool-looking 5 string. Experienced guys should spend a bit more on a mid-priced Sterling.
