Overview
Release Date:04/28/2015;Notes:BLACK SORROWS - Endless Sleep Chapter 47 Following on from the success of their album Certified Blue last year, The Black Sorrows will release simultaneously, two limited edition 12" vinyl LPs Endless Sleep Chapter 46 and Endless Sleep Chapter 47, April 2015. Containing ten tracks each, the discs feature versions of songs by an eclectic choice of artists who have paved the way. Joe Camilleri explains it this way, "I'm a music fan and these two LPs are fan records... I'm a disciple. It's not only the songs but also the spirit of each artist that inspires me. The title suggests, they rest in God's orchard, but their music lives on". A few of the tracks were recorded at the same time as Certified Blue for what Joe considers as "entertainment value". It was a coincidence that the artists chosen were departed and Endless Sleep, a track by fifties rockabilly artist Jody Reynolds, seemed an appropriate title. Endless Sleep was produced by Joe Camilleri and John McAll and recorded at Woodstock and Black Pearl studios Melbourne. Special guests include Vika Bull singing Big MayBelle's 1958 song That's a Pretty Good Love. The Black Sorrows are:- Joe Camilleri - vocals, guitar, sax, harp John McAll - keyboards, vocals Claude Carranza - guitar, vocals Mark Gray - bass, vocals Angus Burchall - drums.;Track List:1.
