Manuscript paper can be found in many forms. This handy booklet has a spiral binding that allows it to lay flat on the music stand and even fold back if needed. The cover has a plastic film coating for protection and longevity. With 12 staves, the page is compact but not too busy. It is perfect for most instruments... but might be a bit cramped if guitar chord blocks are needed. All 96 pages are retained by the binding -- much preferred over loose single pages. This one is a winner.

"Features Excellent Erasability" as stated on the cover = way too much coating on the page. VERY difficult to use with any pencil. The pencil simply cannot be seen without pressing HARD; Thereby breaking the pencil tip. I find that with most ball point pens, the ink can even be erased. On a positive note, the book is durable and will last.

It is paper. In a book. The paper has lines on it. The paper is white. The lines are black. You put musical notes on the lines and in the spaces between the lines. The quality is good. Everything works as designed. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is the cover -- I wish the cover were blank, no words and stuff. But that's just me.
