Comments about Hal Leonard Pocket Music Theory Book:
I play guitar, and I got this book from a local book shop, knowing literally nothing about reading transcripts. This book fills you in at almost literally everything! It teaches you about everything from Time Signatures to Intervals to fitting the major scale and key signatures. My only grip is that this book is seriously a pocket book: its as big as my palm. So you may have trouble reading it. And keep in mind, reading transcripts really does have a learning curve, so watch out.Apart from that, If you have 4 dollars just lying around and free time, buy this now.
