A wonderful roundup of dances from around the world.
Phyllis Weikart's 40-minute video is the perfect companion to her movement text and Rhythmically Moving CD. It's like having an infinitely patient teacher all to yourself while you learn how to dance the basic steps of multicultural dance traditions.
Each folk dance presented is divided into 3 segments:
Segment 1 - includes the title of the dance and music, its country of origin, and a brief clip of the dance being performed.
Segment 2 - the dance is demonstrated using the "Say and Do" process.
Segment 3 - the dance sequence is performed a minimum of two times following the music introduction.
