This book is designed for mandolinists seeking to develop their left and right-hand technique. The exercises included help reinforce fundamental actions of playing, and challenge the player to master the various permutations and combinations of these fundamentals. Each hand is given primary focus, working across all four strings or up and down the fretboard before both hands are challenged simultaneously. Through these exercises, a player can improve their functioning abilities and facilitate better control over the instrument. Practicing these workouts can help with the mechanics of playing as well, helping a player improve accuracy, speed, and agility in both hands.

I started using this book as soon as it was delivered. Lots of great exercises in this book to help you with your playing. This is good for all levels of players, no matter how long you have been playing. Great information to add to your arsenal of mandolin knowledge and technique. Take it one page at a time and start slow. Do each step, one at a time. Do this often and it will help big time. I would say IF you are going to play a mandolin that you need this book.
