The Dean Vendetta series of electric guitars is one of Dean's most popular lines, from a company long known for producing quality guitars with stunning looks and killer tones. Dean Guitars have been favorites of top players for decades, since a young Dean Zelinsky started the company in 1976, when only 17 years old. Dean's radical designs and attention to quality and tone caught the eyes and ears of guitarists looking for something new to play on stage and in the studio, and rockers from Megadeth's Dave Mustaine to the late, great Dimebag Darrell Abbot of Pantera and Damageplan have made their marks and left their scars wielding Dean guitars. Zakk Wylde uses a Dimebag-designed Custom Razorback axe. ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons counts a Dean Z Custom model among his vast arsenal of axes, bandmate Dusty Hill sports a Dean Custom bass, and Dean Zelinsky himself designed the infamous Spinning Fur guitars for the band's classic Legs video. The Cars' Ric Ocasek and Elliot Easton each play Deans, as do rockers Sammy Hager, Leslie West and Iron Maiden's Dave Murray. Brothers and one-time fellow Scorpions Rudolf and Michael Schenker both play Deans, and ambidextrous shredder Michael Angelo Batio has his own signature model. With players like these, you know that Deans were built for speed and power.
And that's where the Dean Vendetta line comes in. These are lean, mean tone machines, loaded with pro features and plenty of attitude, at a price that won't break the bank. For starters, the Vendetta XM features a sculpted body of paulownia, a lightweight yet resonant tonewood, and is loaded with dual humbuckers and a 24-fret, 25-1/2-inch scale neck for maximum bang for your shredding buck. The Vendetta XMT adds a vintage tremolo whammy (or vibrato) unit for your divebombing pyrotechnics, and the Vendetta 1 features a slightly beefier basswood body, with a Floyd Rose-equipped version available for you whammy addicts. All feature a fast and comfortable bolt-on maple C-shape neck with rosewood fingerboard, and either pearl dot or abalone inlays. If you're looking for a little added range on the bottom, grab the Vendetta VNXM 7-String, with string-through body construction and a Tune-O-Matic bridge for maximum sustain while you blow your six-stringed buddies away. The Resurrection is the top of the Vendetta line, featuring a mahogany body and set (glued-in) neck, abalone body binding, Grover tuners, a pair of USA DMT Time Capsule humbucking pickups, and a stunning Resurrection custom graphic to dazzle their eyes as you dazzle their ears. Whether you're looking for your first axe, or need a spare shredder for your arsenal, no need to go on a rampage, the Dean Vendetta series will do it for you! Grab one today and get your Vendetta going!
