I got this pack mainly for the snare drum head. Finally a great trigger you can rely on. A trigger that never double triggers. It's spot on every time you either touch it or strike it. The snare head sounds great acoustically as well. You can even torc wrench it really tight and get the acoustic sound you want without hurting the electronic part of the head. The rim shot trigger is even really great.
However I do not like the kickzone trigger. It's like the rest of them. Double triggers all the time. I wish Aquarian went the extra mile to make a true in head like the snare. It would then trigger beautifully. I mean they make heads for the toms too, so what's the problem? I know money is a factor, but I would gladly pay it if I got a solid trigger response!!!

The inHead and KickZone work well enough, but only when the drums are tuned at high tension. Since snares are typically tuned pretty high, this works well for the snare, but I bought this hoping that I could trigger the bass drum, keep the batter at a low tuning, and then blend the triggered sound with a microphone. The only way I've been able to get the kick patch to not false trigger is by either tuning the batter head just as high as my snare, or by stuffing the drum completely full with a blanket. Aquarian claims the kick patch won't be set off by outside noise, which is bull. My bass player's amp caused it to false trigger like crazy, until I muffled my drum to kingdom come. The other downside is that if I stick the patch on a drumhead, I'm pretty much stuck with that head. If I want to to try a new head/KickZone combination, I have to buy a new head, and a new Kickzone. You're better off just using external triggers that clamp to the rim, or the Axis E-Kits.

The snare head sounds great acoustically which totally rocks as well as triggering accurate. The kick trigger is way behind. It's a piezo element which we all know is unreliable and miss triggers at times. I actually got mad and ripped mine off the bass drum after 3 shows and countless module settings to remedy. If Aquarian will come up with a bass drum head like the snare head they will kill all the goofy looking electronic kits out there! I have heard they have the tom heads coming out shortly. To have your kit still sound like a acoustic kit while being able to trigger and mic will be a game changer for all of us!
