Overview
A limited production snare to celebrate the legendary Dave Grohl and Sound City.
DW collaborated with the legendary Dave Grohl to create the Icon snare drum. This snare celebrates Grohl's self-produced Sound City documentary, and his personal studio that now houses the sacred Sound City console.
This 14x6.5” all-maple snare is decorated with an image of Grohl's face, as well as his feather tattoo artwork and logos of both recording studios. It's all laser-cut from 1/36” veneer and hand-inlayed into a background of teal-dyed exotic Birdseye maple. And it's all brought together with nickel-plated hardware, to complement the color scheme.
Other features of the Icon snare drum include an 11-ply North American hard rock maple VLT shell, True-Hoops, True-Pitch 50 tuning, True-Tone snare wires, a MAG throw-off with 3P butt plate and so much more.
The Dave Grohl Icon snare drum includes a deluxe DW carrying case, plus a Legend and Sound City hat. Only 250 of these snares will be produced, so hurry to grab your Icon drum.
