This thing is great ! As advertised, you can leave it on your hi-hat all the time, and merely push the button on top to mute the "jingles." Push the button again to give you the tambourine sound. It has a screw to lock it to the shaft of your hi-hat, but I don't use it. Just slip it down onto the shaft and it works just fine.

I have been through several high hat tambos, and this one just isn't very loud. If I forcefully clamp my HH, I would say the tambo sound is still only moderately loud. My band is acoustic and typically plays fairly small venues and bars, so I feel like the tambo sound is probably completely lost. The on/off button component is nice and seems to work well. No issues so far with plastic breaking, but I'm not a heavy hitter. Overall not very impressed with the volume of the tambo.

Comments about LP Hi-Hat Tambourine with Click Feature:

Nice product. My black plastic cap broke off in one week. Maybe my stick hit it? I will re-glue it back on. Plastic did not break. Just a glue separation at the cap. Works fine still.

I have it attached to home-made percussion accompaniment (crutch); hard to push top down to activate and deactivate but is perfect; light weight and does the job

A great effects to add to your set up but LP has got some serious issues with regards to the quality of plastic used.Mine crack on the first 30 minutes after installing it in my hihat. The plastic is very brittle, same thing happened with my LP egg shaker..after months of the plastic shell cracked..LP has great product line but needs to address serious quality issues.

Since the late '60s I've had a "Ching Ring", essentially the same as this product except it was built no where near as sturdy and of course did not have the wonderful off/on switch feature. I'm very happy with this purchase.

This was a huge addition to my kit. I use Latin Percussion because it's the innovator from cow bells to blocks and the tambourine is a must have. I highly recommended it.
