every kit needs a cowbell. and if you don't have one, this should be your first one. The bass drum mount works great, solid. the wing nut that holds the cowbell can become lose, but only after hours and hours of playing. it has happened to me two times, but every time was after many weeks of playing at least two hours a day. so as long as you periodically check it, it will be fine.

Comments about LP NY Cowbell with Gibraltar Mount:
I was very happy with the latin percussion cowbell. It looks a little small at first at only 4" wide x 2" high x 5" long, but it's killer. I also like the mount which has enough verticle room that I have my Plastic/Wood block above the the cowbell. I had read from another review about the mount slipping, but I rock out and have had no problems. I would definately tell a friend if they were looking for a good quality cowbell.

Comments about LP NY Cowbell with Gibraltar Mount:
This product was a pleasant surprise. I currently play with a great group of guys with an eclectic setlist....country, classic rock, 80's & 90"s.....name it. Suddenly, we began working on songs that included a cowbell, so naturally as the drummer, I needed to deliver the sound. Since we only play three songs that require a cowbell, I didn't want to invest a great deal of money on this accessory. Suddenly, I stumbled across this little "gem" on musicians friend.....the price was right and it included a mount that can be attached to your bass drum....exactly what I was looking for!! The product showed up on "practice day".....we jammed for 6 hours non stop......the cowbell sounded great!!! Low cost, high quality......enjoy!!

Comments about LP NY Cowbell with Gibraltar Mount:
I needed a second cowbell for my rehearsal kit. My old one I have had for over 20 years so I looked for another and was happily surprised at the price! And it comes with Gibraltar hardware! You just cannot beat LP percussion (well, I guess we all do, literally, Haha) and this medium sized cowbell has the perfect tone. I recommend it to anyone that needs a good solid all round cowbell.
