With a platform of a unique product line built from the ground up, the Natal Ash Series offers the pro features that professional or serious hobbyist drummers require. A straight grained wood, Ash is tough yet flexible, ideal for snare drums. Using Ash as an inner ply and composite laminate produces highly responsive shells with rich attack while maintaining a dry, versatile tone. Ash has a short resonance with clipped sustain which gives toms extra power, punch and projection. All Ash shells are 6-ply and feature exclusive PET and PVC wrap finishes.
The hardware features rounded lugs branded with the Natal "Sun" and Natal's NRM (Natal Resonance Mount) tom mounting system which utilizes an aluminum ball for enhanced durability. Each tom has two die-cast Natal badges featuring the ˜Sun' logo. The bass drum features a wood I.D. badge, as well as hefty, custom bass drum spurs for a stable low end. Additionally, a tri-position snare throw off will give a drummer flexibility in a set or band with a wide range.
Furthermore, the Natal Rock configuration features deep sized toms for great bottom end projection and volume that will cut through both live or in the studio.

I upgraded from a PDP Concept, which was wonderful, but this set blows it away.
I bought the black sparkle for under 1K.
It incredible sounding, powerful, beautifully crafted. Very happy. I took the stock head off and switched to Aquarian performance power dots. I changed bass drum batter to Aquarian Superkick 2. The sounds are very responsive, deep and resonating. The snare is truly amazing with a great crisp sound. I am surprised it's this good considering it' came with the set. I like the sound of Ash. I will be playing this set for quite a while!
