Great Addition to any electric set

Comments about Pintech Dingbat Tubular Pad:

I bought two of these things to use as auxiliary percussion triggers. As it turns out, I really only need one percussion effect per song, and my module is easy to swap them out as needed, so I was left with one useless trigger pad... or so I thought. I got an idea from looking at the Zildjian Zil-bells in my local music shop. I now have the spare one below my crash, to function as another ride bell. This is great, it gives me access to a bell on either side, and I really can do a lot with it!All in all, great product. Only problem I had with it was that the clamp seemed to slip down the shaft of my cymbal stand that it was mounted on, but that was easily fixed by putting a rubber band in the opening, and now it works great. :)

Comments about Pintech Dingbat Tubular Pad:

Good trigger, I was able to get it working with my DTX502 with little effort.

Only downside is that the supplied hardware is for mounting to a rack, not to the 7/8" tubing described.

Comments about Pintech Dingbat Tubular Pad:

I play in a cover band with a lot of 80s and dance music so I've been adding electronics to my acoustic kit for awhile. I've been using a small four-pad Alesis unit which has served me well but sometimes the small size of the pads can be difficult, particularly when I want to use a sampled sound for a backbeat. The solution was to get one of these. I can easily connect this to my SamplePad unit using a 1/4" cable and plugging that into the kick pedal input; it functions as an extra pad for this unit, except I can mount this and it's nice, wide surface area right above the snare drum, therefore making backbeats very easy. My only complaint about the unit is it seems to be a bit quieter or less sensitive than the pad unit, so I have to hit it quite hard to generate the same amount of volume as I would triggering the same sample off the SamplePad, but this can easily be adjusted by changing some of the volume settings of the other pad zones. I think the value for money is terrific; I'd pay nearly twice as much for a round pad or a Roland trigger of similar shape.

Comments about Pintech Dingbat Tubular Pad:

this is the right kind of pad for emulating the many hard-surface drumkit addons, cowbell for certain, but also wood blocks and other things like that. i also prefer to use this for ballad/mellow rimshot sounds so i can keep my snare rim as-is a hard & loud rimpop not the mellow kind. i love this thing. fwiw my kit is a roland TD12 in which the brain died and i now use an alesis DM10 brain.

Comments about Pintech Dingbat Tubular Pad:

Own 2pr. and have loved them. Tracking is good, velocity sensitivity would be a nice addition to an already great product. I'm replacing my TC series cymbals with these, mainly due to construction and reliability.

Pintech Dingbats Are Not For Dummies

Comments about Pintech Dingbat Tubular Pad:

As I mentioned previously, these have good build quality and excellent sensitivity. Plus you can fit them into nooks and crannies around an acoustic drum kit.
I recently purchased four dingbat tubular pads and am not disappointed. I am running them into an Alternative Mode MIDI KITI controller which is triggering sounds from a Roland R8M. Thanks to the MIDI KITI the sensitivity is excellent and everything seems to be solidly built.
The dingbats look like they're built to handle normal playing for quite a long time. I've used them in a live situation and appreciated the rubberized playing surface, which keeps stick contact noise to a minimum.
Good value. One of the less expensive options for triggering sounds.

          Nice effects trigger pad!

Comments about Pintech Dingbat Tubular Pad:

I have a Roland V-Drums kit, and wanted an additional trigger input I could map percussion effects to. This mounted solidly, can be positioned in-between other pads, and has performed very well! I like the feel of it, and the triggering seems awsome. If I had a couple more inputs, I'd buy acouple more!

Comments about Pintech Dingbat Tubular Pad:

I use 4 of these on 2 of my kits (2 live 2 studio). They are used to trigger samples from either side of the kit. These are great and don't take up much space at all. I do use the Hart hammers as well, but tend to favor these for tiggering. I like the fact that its shape allows it to be placed anywhere and not be a bother to the surroundings.

I got a whole set of these used with 2 snares and i love it! They are small, which is handy for my setup, and they are generally easy to hit.
