Rather than just discuss this tambourine, I am going to compare it with another Rhythm Tech tambourine that has the same form factor but with brass jingles.
I lead a church worship team that does not currently have a drummer. We do all-acoustic versions of contemporary songs, using acoustic guitar, bass, viola, keyboard, and vocals. On up-tempo or energetic songs, we sometimes use a tambourine to get some percussive drive.
I bought both the steel and brass Rhythm Tech models to try them out. Both versions share the same design. Both are well made and solid, and both have a nice, tight sound (for a tambourine).
The steel jingles on this model have a brighter, sharper tone, and make this unit slightly louder than the brass version. The brass jingles have a somewhat mellower and less piercing sound.
We are using the brass one because the sound fits better with the rest of our instrumentation. However, this model (steel jingles) would be a better choice if we had a drummer, or if we were playing outdoors. Bottom line is that we are keeping both of them, and we like them both for different reasons.

Would not buy again.
Reversed grip. Grip is to small and hard. Does not fill palm = not ergonomic!

Comments about RhythmTech Ergonomic Tambourine:
This Rhythm Tech Ergonomic tambourine is the BEST for your money--- Longlasting, comfortable, versatile, durable and the best sounding on stage as well as in the studio. Eight years of constant use and I finally need to get a new one. All the other steel jingle tambourines that I've heard sound too cheap and tinny, but this one has a nice crisp, full sound and tone. I highly recommend this model to anyone.

So My Friend and I have an Acoustic Punk band and use one of the Rhythm Tech Tambourines(the white one) It's awesome, great sound and durable! We go busking around town and hit it on stone and everything and it doesn't really even get scratched up. it's really nice and has a really strong sound and a great price too! I recommend this tambourine to anyone over any other one.

I love my Red Rhythm Tech Tambourine Ive had it for at least 5 years We play at least 4 or 5 days a week with the weekend and jams and that tambourine has been through a lot and a lot of people have played that thing Its been dropped thrown and the drummer plays wipout on it and it still sounds great and looks great and still has all it chingers.
Comments about RhythmTech Ergonomic Tambourine:

Padded handle a plus, nice feel.
Comments about RhythmTech Ergonomic Tambourine:
I am a lead/backup singer and have been using Rhythm Tech tamborines for ever. People have gotten me other ones (lp, remo) but they don't sound or last like rhythm tech. I play in a band that gigs twice a weekend and I play the tambourine in about 40% of the songs. I highly recommend this tambourine. I would have given it all 10 stars but I seem to have a knack for wearing out the jingles after about a year or two. Other brands don't last that long and I've had the posts on other brands poke out of the plastic and make me bleed!!! I love the different colors! I have one of each! Our fans love em too. I can't tell you how many I've "lost."

We are in a Gospel group and use one all the time live. It's great!!!!
Comments about RhythmTech Ergonomic Tambourine:
This tambourine is very cool looking on stage (I own the black one). It is incredibly easy to handle and can produce a wide range of beats from nice simple crisp percussion to a complex clangy onslaught. The thing I love most about it is how it just fits right into your hand. I have been the lead singer for a band for a long time and the tambourine is something I am very passionate about as one of the core instruments of rock and roll; and this is a great tambourine. As a musician, I give it my highest recommendation.

Comments about RhythmTech Ergonomic Tambourine:
This was purchased for a relative, but of course I had to use it/use it whenever I get a chance. I got the purple colored one, and it is pretty vibrant, and neat looking. The wash of the stacks is pretty decent and it seems pretty sturdy. I also threw it on to a clamp and used it on my drum kit, and it worked just great as an accessory on there as well. If you're looking for an awesome colored tambourine, that sounds good too. This is it. The "ergonomic" portion I don't have too much to comment on, it's whatever because you're going to be holding a tambourine either way.
