OVERVIEW

Dynamic, expressive playability and quick customization.

The Roland TD-25K electronic drum set is equipped with a sound engine derived from the flagship Roland TD-30 V-drums and delivers all the acclaimed expressiveness that makes Roland V-Drums the choice of pro players everywhere. A streamlined interface makes it easy to create personalized kits, while the built-in audio recording function lets you capture drum performances for evaluation and sharing. Other premium features include mesh-head pads for a natural feel, positional snare sensing for enhanced expression, and the VH-11 V-Hi-Hat for playing with authentic hi-hat techniques. Three cymbal pads are included.

Unrivaled Sound and Expressiveness
The TD-25K electronic kit delivers a superior drumming experience, thanks to Roland's SuperNATURAL technology with Behavior Modeling inherited from the flagship TD-30. The sound engine responds naturally and organically to your playing in every way, providing the dynamic, interactive feel that's essential for reaching the highest levels of musical expression. From rim shots, rolls, flams, and ghost notes on the snare to dramatic crash hits and sustained cymbal swells, every nuance is detailed, accurate, and ultra-smooth.

High-End Feel and Playability
When you sit down at Roland's TD-25K e-kit, you'll enjoy expressive playability that rivals high-end V-Drums sets. There's a full compliment of mesh-head pads for the legendary V-Drums feel, with positional sensing on the snare pad that provides subtle, organic tonal changes depending on where the pad is struck. The cymbals have a natural swinging motion and support chokes, bow/edge sounds on the crash, and bow/edge/bell sounds on the ride. Mounting on a standard hi-hat stand, the VH-11 V-Hi-Hat features open/closed motion and bow/edge sounds for executing traditional playing techniques to perfection. Last but not least is the KD-9 Kick Pad, which offers a natural-feel cloth head and rock-solid response.

Call Up Kits and Start Playing Immediately
With its no-nonsense interface, the TD-25K's sound module lets you enjoy playing great sounds for any music right away. Easy to grab while holding sticks, the large center dial allows you to quickly select kits based on music styles such as standard, rock, jazz, electronic, and others. After you've selected a style, press the dial to toggle between different kit variations. Next step? Start playing!

Customize Kits for Your Personal Style
The Roland TD-25K makes it simple to edit sounds to suit your playing touch or a specific style of music. Just hit a pad to call up the sound assigned to it, and then use the modulee's knobs to select instruments and tweak tuning, muffling, and levels. Handy shortcuts greatly speed up tom editing, allowing you to assign sounds and change the muffling and tuning for all the toms at once. Your changes are saved automatically as you edit, eliminating the need to fuss with extra steps. If you don't like your most recent tweaks, you can easily undo them and return to where the kit was at when you first selected it.

Play Along with Tracks and Record Audio Performances
Want a little jamming music to play along with? Just load up a USB memory stick with favorite WAV/MP3 songs and get lost in playing for hours. In addition to normal playback, you can loop sections you'd like to work on, or slow the playback speed to more easily learn fast fills and articulations. Alternately, you can plug a smartphone into the audio input and drum with songs from your music library or the web. It's also possible to record your drumming performances (along with music playback) as audio files to a USB memory stick, offering a great way to evaluate your playing and share your drumming with friends and music producers. The sound module is equipped with a USB host port as well, providing a convenient connection for recording audio and MIDI data directly into DAW software.

Kick pedal, hi-hat stand and drum throne are not included. Includes setup guide and drum key.

Comments about Roland TD-25K V-Tour Drum Kit:

This is my second set of Roland v-drums. My first was the lower end td4-kx which is a very good set for the price. The kits included aren't all that different from the low end brains, I'm not seeing a much greater variety there. The reasons to get this set as opposed to a lower end Roland is for the vh-11 hats and the pd100 snare. Both of those items pick up every little nuance and are far superior to the lower end stuff you might get. I love playing the kit. As far as I'm concerned it's only competition in this price range is the Yamaha kit. I chose this one over it after playing them in a guitar center and deciding the kick trigger by Roland is far superior and great for doublebass.

Comments about Roland TD-25K V-Tour Drum Kit:

[I use E-kits for recording the drum tracks for my band to optimize my drum sound quality for our albums.] The realistic hi-hat is cool, the kick drum pad Actually allows for double pedals (unlike the TD-15 which I refunded within 2 hours of having it), the sounds are really great, and you can adjust the sensitivity so that you can have a realistic feel on the snare, OR you can make it so that you can lay down Metal style gravity blasts. (big thumbs up) All that stuff is good; but, here is the Big negative: There is no options of cymbals while playing. What I mean is, you have tons of great sounds to choose from, but you can only pick one sound per cymbal. My very old TD-3 had 4 physical cymbals mounted, the cymbal pads were dual triggered, thus allowing me to set one cymbal sound for the side hit, and another for the top hit, giving me a grand total of 8 cymbal sounds at once to add flair to a song while performing. This "New and Advanced" E-kit only offers (1) The Hi-hats, (2) The Ride, and (3) what ever I'd like the third to be. The module offers a 4th cymbal input additionally; but, then that's still only 4 cymbals, which is only half the options given by their own brand's TD-3 kit from over a decade ago. Now: I'm basically left with the only option of purchasing a second/additional TD-25 module (which offers 9 inputs total), buying a bunch of electric cymbals, and rigging it all up to the TD-25 kit I already have to give me the rang of sounds any drummer wants and expects while playing a drum set.

Comments about Roland TD-25K V-Tour Drum Kit:

I currently live in an apartment and was seeking ways that I could practice drums. I looked into storage facilities, rehearsal studios, ect. Purchasing this V kit was one of the best things I've done. Being able to play anytime day or night is a real luxury for a drummer. I'm so glad I chose to buy this kit. If you are considering the TD25K, do not hesitate, spend the money, you will not regret it. I should of spent the money a long time ago. The kit is amazing.

Comments about Roland TD-25K V-Tour Drum Kit:

We bought this kit to replace a 15 year old ddrum 4 SE electronic drum set at our church. The ddrum kit was really nice (and possibly the best kit for the money in its time). However, this new Roland TD-25 module is so easy to use. And the kit sounds terrific! The kit was also really easy to set up and configure.
