I got this cymbal about a month after I started drumming, and let me tell you: I have no regrets. This cymbal has the perfect amount of ring time after you hit it. It's not too short, and not too long. It's high pitched, which I favor over deeper sounding cymbals, and you can it in any way, shape, or form and it a good sound will come out. Whether or not you want to produce small, elegant rings by lightly tapping this cymbal, or go out on a full out blast by smashing it with intense force, this cymbal will pull through. Only problem I would warn you about: it can get scratches pretty easily, so be careful.

Ok, I play at home with the ZXT tianium cymbals. They are good. I play at church with this POS. I hate it. At church i play with this crash, my old zxt 14"thin crash, 13"zbt hats, and then the b8pro medium ride. This cymbal has such a SLOW sound, it is a better ride then the crash. Once you actually hit it hard enough, it is too overwhelming for the church. I recomend Zildjian for good beginner cymbals. this piece of junk has left a sour taste in my mouth for Sabian. I know they have good stuff, but not this.

Comments about Sabian B8 Pro Thin Crash Cymbal:

the 16 inch version sounds pretty good, but it is not a good dark crash for heavy metal, however it is a very good musical crash with good tone for all music except punk/ heavy metal. this is an amazing crash for the price.

Comments about Sabian B8 Pro Thin Crash Cymbal:

I've always been impressed with the B8Pro series, and now that I have a complete 14", 16", and 18" set up, I must say that I love them!! They have that nice thin crash sound tha I've wanted in my cymbals. If you're low on cash and need good cymbals, go with these, they're aren't the best, but they sure do what you want. Thanks Sabian and Musiciansfriend!!!

Comments about Sabian B8 Pro Thin Crash Cymbal:

I have had the 16'' crash and it sounds great. Very glassy and crisp. It sounds a hundred times better than the b8. It is well worth the money and far better sounding than the Zildjian zxt and zbt series.

the cymbal itself lasted me for about a total of 6 months before it started cracking. it's a great cymbal to upgrade a beginner set. the tone is nice and bright with a very fast penetrating sound.

nice cymbal

Comments about Sabian B8 Pro Thin Crash Cymbal:

i started out using standard b8's and wanted to see if spending some more money would pay off and it sure did. i have the 16" and i couldn't be happier with it. i got it used a few months ago and has held up wonderfully. the only negative thing i can think to say is that the bell is awfully small but i wouldn't expect it to be any bigger on this cymbal so its pretty much an excellent buy all around. if you want quiality and your low on cash, get these man.

Great cymbal, Long lasting.

Comments about Sabian B8 Pro Thin Crash Cymbal:

I bought the 16" cymbal from my cousin a year ago, and he had it for several years. It's a great cymbal, UNTIL it cracks, the life is cut in half, and it sounds plain when cracked. But it IS a long lasting cymbal, and sounds fantastic when in good condition, just replace when it cracks bad. Overall good cymbal.

Comments about Sabian B8 Pro Thin Crash Cymbal:

Bought this cymbal in january and it still looks and sounds pretty awesome, since it's thin, it has a short sustain to it, which I liked, it looks great, specially in studio with my band, the short decay makes it pretty good, it is almost as good as my HH 16' medium crash... Great cymbal for the price, very versatile.

Comments about Sabian B8 Pro Thin Crash Cymbal:

The high gloss coat makes it look great, and it sounds even better! It's a modest price for such a good quality cymbal. I beat it every time I play, and after a few months, it still sounds great.

Fast (although some overtones keep going like the energizer bunny) sweet, high, great for a new drummer or low budget drummer.

My Thoughts on the Sabian B8 Pro Crash

Comments about Sabian B8 Pro Thin Crash Cymbal:

I purchased my 17" Thin Crash at about 6 months ago and I continue to be pleased about my investment. It's very sturdy and reliable, and cuts through the mix very well. It throws down in practice as well as in the studio or live. I use it with a 4-piece kit and a set of Sabian AA's, and it matches superbly. I strongly recommend using a proper plastic flange and felt washer on the stand when playing this cymbal, however, as it is more succeptible to damage in that area than some other cymbals.

Comments about Sabian B8 Pro Thin Crash Cymbal:

This cymbal is great for it's price, its a thick cymbal to be called thin. Has good projection of sound, but to get that good sound you need to hit it hard, it sounds somewhat trashy if you lightly hit it, but don't go smashing it up!YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR IN MUSIC.

Comments about Sabian B8 Pro Thin Crash Cymbal:

amazing value for the product. I bought the 16" Its great, but, its not as loud as I would like my other crash is much louder but every time you hit my zildjian cymbal it has many different noises... this sabian b8 pro has a very steady noise and looks amazing to! I couldn't have bought a better cymbal

This cymbal puts out a good sound and can be used as a ride. I prefer to use it as a ride more than a crash. It's also very shiny!

Comments about Sabian B8 Pro Thin Crash Cymbal:

I have been using the b8pro line in my set for about two months and I really like them. Of course they are not AAx or A customs but for the price range in cymbals they are by far the best sound for the money. They have a good glassy sound and are crisp but do ring a slight too much but for the price you would have to be stupid to complain or have been playing A customs or AAx's and are spoiled.
