GREAT Snare Drum

I just got this drum recently and I love it. The bottom head came broken, so I bought a remo diplomat snare head to put on it. It took a while to tune, but once I tuned it right I loved it. I had a rogers snare, then a ludwig, and now this. I would definitely but this because you get so much for your money, and it sounds great. Go buy it!

I've had this snare for a while. It came with my drums a while back and for a couple of months I used it as my main snare, but eventually found that the tone and overall sound of the snare wasn't good enough for my main snare. I love wood snares, but I just wasn't into this snare as much as I should be into my main snare. So I went out and bought a 14x8 G maple and I love it. But back to the superstar custom snare. I have it in scarlet fade and it's a 14x5.5. I cranked it up real tight and it sounds pretty good. I have a G1 on it right now and G1's are a little thin for me, but I actually get the sound I want out of it as a secondary snare. I use it as my secondary snare for accents and stuff. Overall it's a great beginner snare, it's good for the money, and if you're into metal you can get a pretty good crack out of it.

Plenty of Crack & Body

I got my Tama Superstar Custom drum kit on September 23, 2005, and i love it! The snare sounded great even tuned slightly lower than average and with the original heads on it. Once i put a Remo Emperor-X head on it, and tightened it up a little more, the sound truely came out.I was amazed by the level of snap and pop I received from this drum, comparable to that of much more expensive drum kits. For th value, and the quality of these shells, THIS DRUM CANNOT BE BEATEN!!
