Comments about Dean Backwoods 3 Banjo:

I play guitar and harmonica professionally I but have wanted to have a banjo around to play for fun. I DO NOT PLAY BANJO PROFESSIONALLY. A banjo playing friend of mine purshased a high end banjo and he sold me his DEAN BW 3 for a very reasonable price. I love it. First of all even if I never play it out it helps me as a guitarist and a harmonica player to know the basic chords that a banjo payer is using so I can follow them when they are leading. The strange thing is that I really like the sound of this banjo. Certain songs work so much better on a banjo than on a guitar. For the price this is a great deal unless you can get one used like I did.
