For the price you get to see if you are interested in playing the harmonica and you have 3 different keys to check out. Or if you want to give them to a kid to play around with without breaking the bank.
If you are really serious and know you are planing to learn to play don't waste your money ... just put it towards getting a good learning harp in the 33 to 43 doe range
These harps are out of tune ... some holes are a bit flat ... some sharp. But you can use them to learn how to tune a harmonica if you are serious about learning to play.
They suck in a lot of air so it will be a bit more difficult to learn on them as opposed to a harp that is air tight.
When you first get them you will have the plastic taste, but it will go away in a while. Forget about the name stamped on the front ... that wears off in a couple of days believe it or not.
The case that comes with them is nice for storing them. I would recommend these to a friend but only under the curcumstance I stated eariler.

When I first received these harmonicas, they sounded terrible. But after you play them for about a week, they get a better tone.
Comments about Hohner Hoodoo Blues Harmonica 3-Pack with Case:
Been playing harmonica for a good few months, and wanted to get a few new ones, in different keys. Picked this up about 2 weeks back, and have been really enjoying them so far. They have a really nice soft tone to them. Recommended for starters for sure, there affordable, sound good, and comes with a nice little case.

Comments about Hohner Hoodoo Blues Harmonica 3-Pack with Case:
Ideal to have on hand when a chance to "join in" arises. Can't expect everyone else to tune to you; having the 3 most common keys allows you to join right in.
Also a great set for beginners in showing how versatile harmonica's truly are.

Comments about Hohner Hoodoo Blues Harmonica 3-Pack with Case:
I love the Blues. I've wanted to learn to play since I was kid. But the Hohner Marine Band I bought with my allowance was lost on a Halloween Hayride when I was 5 and I didn't get very far. Thirty years later I decided the time was right... These are lightweight plastic versions, but the warm Hohner sound is still there. Fairly sturdy construction, but they wont survive without case storage.
Three keys means you can play along to most of yer favorite songs. A solid beginner's harp set. Life is short. Learn to pound out yer frustrations on these. I've already worn off the painted lettering on two of them! So note the key mark in the upper right corner.

Comments about Hohner Hoodoo Blues Harmonica 3-Pack with Case:
I bought these harp just as a backup for my chromatic but was suprised by the metallic tone and easy bending. Once you get used to them being so light these are fun little harps and will do the job right.

Comments about Hohner Hoodoo Blues Harmonica 3-Pack with Case:
Upon opening the package I noticed the stench of old band aids. I wouldn't give these to a 3 year old child. The harp in G is so out of tune it makes me nauseated just to play it, it went in the trash. I can't pull a bend on these with a 6 foot pry bar. There is a much better selection for a reasonable price, pass on these and get something else.
Pros
- Good To Learn To Work On

Comments about Hohner Hoodoo Blues Harmonica 3-Pack with Case:
For the price of these harps, you almost can't go wrong. The reed gaps leave much to be desired, but once adjusted correctly, these harps play quite well. Personally, I like the seamless plastic covers as my full beard doesn't get pinched. And, as for the alleged offensive taste of plastic, I find it no more offensive than eating with a plastic fork or spoon. I will likely buy another set or two of these, if for no other reason than the plastic covers.

Comments about Hohner Hoodoo Blues Harmonica 3-Pack with Case:
Musician for years, was given a cheap 'Learn to Play Harmonica' book/dvd/harmonica set. The harp it came with broke a reed almost instantly, but I was hooked and wanted something cheap to learn on.
The harps play easily, and cleanly enough that I can tell when I'm playing off (my first harp was so bad I couldn't tell if my tone was bad or it was the instrument). I'm thoroughly enjoying learning to play on these, and they sound great for the price.

Comments about Hohner Hoodoo Blues Harmonica 3-Pack with Case:
I play double bass, but am totally new to the harp, so I bought these as beginner instruments to get started on something new.
For the price, I am happy overall. On two of the harmonicas there are 1 or 2 dead notes, mostly in the lowest register, otherwise they work well and sound good. If anything, the sound is a bit quiet as compared to a nice metal harmonica but for what I use them for (playing around my home)they work fine.

Comments about Hohner Hoodoo Blues Harmonica 3-Pack with Case:
These are cheap plastic garbage. I guess you get what you pay for. I shouldn't have expected more. I've tried each one, so I can't return them, but I just threw them in the trash. Don't waste your money as I just did. If I could give negative stars, I would!
Comments about Hohner Hoodoo Blues Harmonica 3-Pack with Case:
I bought this set for the case thinking I would give the harps away to kids who attend our local club jam. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The harps feel funky, way too light, and the plastic reed cover material is kind of hard on the lips. But, I was pleasantly surprised to find that all three harps played all ten holes and twenty reeds perfectly and I was actually able to play them. Actually played better than a typical Blues Band, etc. Granted, you would never gig with these little guys or maybe even jam with them. They are not loud harps and the tone, while not annoying is certainly not in the same league with better harps. But, they are good enough to be left in the console of your car to play along with a CD, etc. I may have just lucked out, who knows. The Piedmont Blues harps which appear the same get awful reviews. But, the Hoodoo Blues set I bought was a pleasant surprise.

It has everything that any inexpensive diatonic harmonica has, but the outer case is plastic. It has been mentioned that it has a plastic taste to it. I did notice that, but it is very minor and only as an after taste. I never noticed the taste while playing, therefore it has not detracted from my playing.
I bought these harmonicas to take backpacking. They are very lightweight and this is what I was looking for. They are so light, that most people would think they are just a toy. Let me assure you they are not. They play perfectly right out of the box, no adjustments needed. I would recomend these to anyone new to playing harmonica. They are quality lightweight harmonicas at a an unbeatable price!

Comments about Hohner Hoodoo Blues Harmonica 3-Pack with Case:
These are the worst sounding harmonicas i have ever played. And they taste like plastic, the leaves a bad taste in your mouth.I have been playing for years and my wife purchased these for me.I play Hohner Special 20.They cost more, but quailty sound.I can not belive Hohner would put there name on these.I will not play them because of the plastic taste.I just hope the little i did play them that the plastic is the type that does not harm me.
