OVERVIEW

A well-built cutaway dreadnought with B-Band electronics that makes for a great starter instrument.

Part of Alvarez Guitar's Regent Series, the RD280CESB is a great sounding and looking dreadnought with a quality spruce top and dark ovangkol back and sides. The sunburst finish has a deep glass-like shine and the guitar is fitted with the Alvarez SYS250 from B-Band, a three-band EQ with onboard digital backlit tuner.

The Alvarez Regent Series is a high-quality entry-level guitar line designed to provide superior instruments with many features and specifications you’ll find in pro-level Alvarez models. Components such as Alvarez's bi-level rosewood bridge, scalloped bracing and PPS synthetic bone nut and saddle, work together to get the best tone and response possible. Much like their more professional models, the sound of the Regent Series guitars is open and full, and they have been made to respond well, making them rewarding to play. The Regent Series was designed with the student in mind and has a slightly slimmer neck profile and nut, making it very easy to hold and fret.

Comments about Alvarez RD280CESB Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Got this on the deal . Great deal . Good guitar and looks better in person . Came out of the box ready to play and sounds nice . The fret ends and clear coat being super thick is the only bad things I can say about it . Made in china so don't expect perfect but better than I thought . Would buy Alvarez again .

Comments about Alvarez RD280CESB Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

These Alvarez guitars are just plain great. Even the cheaper ones like this play, feel and sound way above their weight class. Although I gave this one as a gift, I bought one for myself last year and loved it. I put my taylor away and started playing shows with my alavarez. It's not my taylor, but Taylor isn't 5x nicer. Don't be a afraid to take a chance on any of these Alvarez acoustics. They're all great and frankly I don't know how they can sell them for so little. Hands down best deal in acoustic guitrs out there.

Comments about Alvarez RD280CESB Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This is an Amazing sounding guitar even w/the "cheaper" tuners it stays in tune the only thing is I bought 3 all the binding needed scraping that was missed in QC & the EXP strings had rust on them. The Saddles are high but address those issues you have a guitar that sounds better than instruments 5X's it's price. It was worth the finish work on the Binding ALL of it & around the headstock on one of em the Pickup system if good & the Tuner is really quick good B Band electronics .

Comments about Alvarez RD280CESB Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I got the matte finish version on a "DEAL of the DAY " and its just the same as this. sounds good unplugged. The electronics work WAY BETTER than you would think at this price! the tuner works, the EQ is not terrible at all. the tuner Mutes output ( this is GOOD for the performer). basically just needs a set up , maybe file some fret ends, the neck wood feels a little cheap but man is it a decent feeling neck, if you are a working musician, or an open mic guy or some kid starting out, this is just fine, you actually don't need to spend more, I picked up a musicians gear dread case on sale ( I think that was like 40 ) and it fit perfect. I own a few really nice acoustic guitars , even 2 from Martin, I needed something for running around town duo gigs, happy hour gigs, or using an acoustic on a few numbers with some electric bands, basically something that was going to get BEAT ON and BEAT UP. this was JUST the thing. I always joke about the fact that his thing paid for it self in ONE GIG. it did! and I would to it all over again. this thing is out taking a beating on a weekly basis and other than the bridge pins being a little cheapo/tricky, it just keeps working and working. its a GREAT DEAL.

one thing, DO keep this thing humidified if possible, the neck wood will shrink. !
other than that, buy it, set it up, play it.
