I am a Luthier and guitar tech for Guitar Center. This guitar was Brand new with only a day on the shelf. Like most Danelectros, the electronics were already curroded. I always find multiple poor solder joints within a spider web of entangled Chinese wiring. Some parts needed to be cleaned or replaced, and we know how frustrating that can be when it's a hollow body. Be on a look out for Gibson/Epiphone electronic parts within Danelectros because those are common for Guitar Center to provide when store owned instruments need electronic repairs. Can't say what parts other stores provide but usually Danelectros need some electronic work before being put out onto the sales floor.

Just got this guitar about a month ago and I've been playing it every day. I play small shows in my hometown and this guitar fits perfectly in my rig. I mostly play blues/rock stuff and this guitar gives me great range. It's versatile and fun to play.

I use his as my go too guitar for most sounds. The build quality is much more then you would expect. It seems like a way more expensive guitar. Dangelico and bob weir really outdid them self on this model.
