Comments about Epiphone Sheraton II Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

I don't have anything negative to say about this guitar. If you are going to buy this guitar I suggest that you also buy the EPIPHONE EDREAD DREADNOUGHT HARDSHELL CASE ITEM # 517029000000000. This case fits the Sheration 2 like a glove. This guitar's easy playability makes it ideal for any skill level.
This guitar is AMAZING! The tone, the playability & the finish are all great. The humbucker pickup's sound just incredible & make this axe suitable for most genres of music. I like having mother of pearl inlays they make the guitar look more classy. The grover tuners are great this guitar tunes very easy & it holds it's tuning for a long time.
The craftsmanship on the Sheration 2 is second to none. Epiphone puts out some great guitars.
For the price you just can't beat this beauty. Epiphone give a lot of bang for your buck. If you are in the market for a new guitar at a fair price then this is the guitar for you.

Comments about Epiphone Sheraton II Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

I just received my Epiphone Sheraton II LEFT HANDED in vintage sunburst and I was TOTALLY blown away by the quality, playability, and tone of this guitar. You owe it to yourself to get one of these! I own and play a vintage Les Paul and a Jimmy Hendrix Voodoo Strat and I would put this Sheraton up next to either. What an awesome guitar for the money!

Great Guitar for the money

Comments about Epiphone Sheraton II Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

This guitar is great! I set it up with Flatwounds and use it for teaching, jazz, and blues. It has a great tone. It is not a Heritage 535 or older 335, but that is why it is only this price. It does not feel cheap and the neck feels great. It has pretty good sustain too. The finish is lighter than the pic on display also. The E on the pickguard is a little cheesy but it comes off pretty easy. I love it!

Comments about Epiphone Sheraton II Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

With the price being as it is I knew that I was buying an economical instrument. When I opened the shipping box I was immediatly impressed by the beauty of this guitar...it is a looker. But does it play well? I was once again impressed as this plays as well as it looks. I have had many guitars in my 45 years of playing and this one has become an immediate favorite. I have indeed been pleasantly surprised...this one is a keeper.

Comments about Epiphone Sheraton II Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

I purchased one of these in the late 1990's. It is still my axe of choice. the neck is not too fat, not too thin. and when put through a Marshall it packs a surprising punch which is not expected.

Comments about Epiphone Sheraton II Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

I own a righty, but I just wanted to express my delight with this guitar. I found a used blond Sheraton and traded two guitars to get it. The detail is amazing. I've owned an Gibson SG custom that wasn't this nice. I am going to switch out the pickups in the near future, but the playability is really fine. The neck was a little thin for me at first, though I feel it has taught me to be a better player. Most people are impressed with the detail and beauty of the inlays. I am surprised more players aren't using this guitar. For the price, this guitar is a screamin' deal!

      worth every penny

Comments about Epiphone Sheraton II Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

I have owned this guitar for over a year now and I am quite impressed. This guitar sounds great plays great and hasn't required anything other than a basic setup. The pickups are pretty good for original equipment, they sound fine. The finish on my guitar is MUCH lighter than the one pictured here and is absolutely gorgeous. The only problem I have had with the Sheraton II is the finish on the metal hardware, the "gold" became completely tarnished within 4-6 months on the tail piece and bridge but hasn't affected anything but the looks, the frets have become quite dull as well but again only visual. Overall the price on this guitar cannot be beaten... Worth every penny!

I have a Gibson Humminbird and wanted an electric for a number of years. I reserached six months before deciding and when I got the Sheraton II I must admit I was truly plesed with my decision. For the money its hard to find a better guitar...take from a man who has been driving Gibsons all his life!

Comments about Epiphone Sheraton II Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

I purchased a left Sheraton II in the fall of 2004 and can't put the thing down. I had it fitted with a Bigsby, and even with the stock tuners, it stays in tune surprisingly well. Sounds warm and inviting through my Fender Hot Rod Deville 4X10, both clean and overdriven. I love the neck: the fretboard is wide, but the neck itself isn't real fat. Fits nicely in my long-fingered hands. I wish Epiphone made the Riviera in a lefty model. Maybe I'll get a Casino some day. I also own a lefty Epi Les Paul Custom and love that, as well.

      Sheraton II

      By Vince-g4uCT

      from Ontario

Comments about Epiphone Sheraton II Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

Sloppy binding job, inaccurate tuners, flat sounding pickups. but almost all of that can be changed. feedback can be a problem if you don't know how to control it. action and intonation were audibly bad when i bought it. the finish was pretty nice, kind of thick and gloppy, won't wear out anytime soon, but doesn't get aged at all. high frets (18-ish and higher) are tough to reach (more so than a strat, SG, or tele). tuning machines go out of tune quite easily, especially the G. inlays were also done in a mediocre fashion, you can see filler gaps. this is clearly subpar to a gibson ES-333, but it holds up. bridge is also hard to adjust. pickup switch has problems, pickups won't work after switching, requires several flicks of the switch, a well known problem among epiphone as they don't use quality parts for the most part.

I just received my brand spanking new Sheraton II. WOW...This thing is absolutely flawless and totally gorgeous. The gold hardware, the MOP inlays, the finish, the binding. Oh did I mention the tone? Incredible warm and sustaining tone. You could not get a better guitar with the value from any other manufacturer at a comparable price. I am hooked on Epiphone.

Comments about Epiphone Sheraton II Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

I bought a 2004 model. This guitar blew me away. Absolutely flawless sunburst finish, perfect binding on everything. Once I adjusted the string and pickup height, this guitar sounded and played better than my vintage Gibson 335. Grover tuners keep this guitar in tune even with extreme string bends. It's ironic that the set up was the only thing done in the U.S. and that was the only thing that needed adjusting. I never thought I'd buy a Korean guitar but this is one great quality instrument.

Comments about Epiphone Sheraton II Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

I sold most of my collection when I headed overseas, so I've spent the past year and a half plunking around on a Martin backpackerNot to knock the backpacker, but when I finally got my hands on the Sheraton I felt like I had been transported to a different realm of sound. 5 hours after unpacking the guitar, I woke up from a music fugue, blissfully happy and fingers sore as hell.Beautiful guitar.

Elegant Looks and Warm Tone to Match

      By Joey Thomas

      from Elkhart, IN

Comments about Epiphone Sheraton II Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

This is a great guitar. I have a left-handed 2004 sunburst model and I absolutely love it. The binding job is somewhat sloppy and the pots are noisy, but these problems are minor (as well as inherent in virtually all Epiphones and even many Gibsons). Also, the pickups, although very warm and full sounding, are a bit are lacking a bit in the department of harmonic complexity. Again, such is par for the course when it comes to midprice Korean-made guitars. Aside from these minor issues, however, this guitar is great. In terms of playablity, it's top-notch--with an action and smoothness easily comparable to any ES-335. Overall, this is a highly versatile and gorgeous-looking guitar of a quality that belies its price and Eastern origin and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Excellent guitar for the money. If there is anything that you may want to change later, it's the pickups. I recommend the Seymour Duncans 59 in both the bridge and neck positions.

      Sheraton

Comments about Epiphone Sheraton II Left-Handed Electric Guitar:

I have owned my lefty Sheraton for over a year and the only thing I dislike is that "natural" finish wasn't available when I bought it. The action is great, but extremely tight. You know you are playing with a real instrument. The high notes can really punch out, yet a beefy rhythm can be punched out as well. It is the best of both worlds, the hollow body electric and solid body. Being left handed, I am so glad that Epiphone has extended its lefty collection into its hollow body and semi-hollow body series.

I waited many years to purchase my first guitar. And I chose the Sheraton to learn on. I may be a novice but don't think I did not take the extra time decided. The quality of sound is great whether I'm plugged in to amp or just sitting unplugged.
