For [a reasonable price, MF didn't let me post it] you're getting a guitar that looks and plays like one of a much higher value. With stock pickups this guitar has bright, crisp cleans and when cranked pulls off just about anything. The finish looks spectacular as well. I bought mine a couple years ago in the black cherry and the maple top just looks gorgeous. I originally planned on swapping out the pickups but never got around to it because the stock ones sound so good. My only gripe, and this is common with most high gloss guitars, is that the surface is easily scratched but it's a player and not a collectible. Out of all of my guitars, I tend to grab this one and plug in. It's a well balanced and beautiful instrument.

I used to own one of these. "Used to" is the key phrase here. Once I bought a guitar made of a decent wood (swamp ash / mahogany), I realized how horrible agathis sounds. For the price, the workmanship is excellent, and the hardware gave me no problems. However, the pickups and electronics in general are horrible. You can put an Earvana nut on it, strap locks, new pickups (the Hot Rodded Combo works good in this guitar), new pots, a new input jack, and upgrade the bridge, but by then you've spent too much on an unworthy guitar, and your resale value for what you've spent is not going to improve. Take this as a life lesson: buy something with decent wood if you plan on upgrading. Otherwise, money spent on a good but used guitar, or on any guitar that's not agathis, would be money better spent. ESP's workmanship and quality are good, but the wood is the worst player on what is a losing team. Get something else.

Comments about ESP LTD EC-100QM Electric Guitar:

I bought the this guitar over 4 years ago and its still my favorite guitar over an ibanez. My only complaint is that the treble pickup is a tad overwound. But that is a minor issue as all you do is roll off on volume a bit and your good. I highly reccomend to any beginner guitar players. Even seasond players looking for a cheap axe that can churn out some hard rock and metal and still retain classic rock grit and mediocre cleans, this is a great choice.

Comments about ESP LTD EC-100QM Electric Guitar:

The EC-100QM was the first electric I ever bought, and to this day I have not found a guitar that feels more comfortable to me than this one. The pickups have a really beautiful tone if you use them through good amps and stuff like that, and the neck has the most amazing feel ever. If you're looking for a guitar to start playing metal, this is definitely a great way to go!

Comments about ESP LTD EC-100QM Electric Guitar:

I have multiple guitars including a gold top les paul and a RR series jackson and i would rather play this esp ec100qm than both of those. the neck feels great and the pickups sound find to me, much better than the emg camo set in my les paul. Very good buy, i havent had any problems with the tuning, bridge, pickups, or anything, this guitar has worked perfect for me. i did have to adjust the truss rod a little but that is it.

Comments about ESP LTD EC-100QM Electric Guitar:

I once had a MIA Fender Stratocaster and this guitar has the same playability. I should say that right out of the box, you'll probably need to set the intonation, but that won't take too long. The guitar does seem to need tuning a bit, but you can upgrade the tuners. The factory pickups seem fine to me, but my amp is a Marshall. Anything is going to sound good through a Marshall. I thought a guitar with Humbuckers and the playability of a Strat would cost an arm and a leg. This guitar is a good buy at the price. I would reccomend it to anyone wanting a new axe for a low price. You could easily spend a lot more and not get as good a guitar.

One of my cheapest ($) guitars but is the one I use all the time. The factory Pickups sound ok clean, but muddy with overdrive or distortion. I change them for a pair of seymour duncan seth lover SH-55 and it sounds grate. No problem with the hardware but might change the tuners and the saddles. Over all a grate guitar for the price and with the right pickups it can stand next to any other.

Comments about ESP LTD EC-100QM Electric Guitar:

This is my third guitar I own and by far the best for the price. The two volume knobs give it a huge tonal range when you use both humbuckers. The see thru cherry fininsh is amazing. The sound is perfect for metal riffs. High distortion doesnt sound the best on this guitar but oh well. Super easy to play.

      My EC100 is my favorite!

      By Jones-MMXw5

Comments about ESP LTD EC-100QM Electric Guitar:

My first rig was a Kramer Strat copy(which was complete garbage). This was my second guitar, and it changed my whole persective on playing. First off the action is low and the frets emit no buzzing. The Duncan designed pickups are high output and they seem to find every single ounce of sound out of the strings and your playing. Hook this up to a metal master effects pedal and the feedback from your amp comes in like a tidal wave. Now..with that said, the clean settings on the guitar are just Ok, and playing anything else but Hard Rock and Metal on this guitar, doesnt work at all. But for the price, you can afford to buy other sound specific guitars. I bought mine almost 7 years ago and it still inspires me today to rock!

Been a single coil player always, wanted a humbucker guitar just to play around with, this beauty totally fills the bill, put elixers on it, it was set up perfectly out of the box! Stays perfectly in tune, pickups are fine, nice playing neck, frets are great, no buzz, this is a great guitar for the money, sounds great clean. In addition to G and L and Fender, ESP makes great guitars too. Year or so I might step up to the 1000, but no rush.

This i s a good guitar if you are looking for that deeper humbucking tone. I own a squier strat that i have professionally set up and this guitar was set up just as well which was suprsing because i bought it for 100 off craigslist. the one thing i don't like is the jumbo frets as i am used to the low frets on the strat. however i guess that is just personal preference.

Comments about ESP LTD EC-100QM Electric Guitar:

I Have had this guitar for about a year now and it hasn't let me down once. The pickups are pretty powerful and are decently clear. It does get a fair amount of feed-back when overdriven though so if you're not into metal or rock you probably shouldn't get this guitar. But the clean tone is amazing too because the guitar gets lots of low end.About the only problem I had with mine was the toggle switch was a bit touchy. It had a bad connection and had to be fixed. But other than that this is a great guitar. It has great tone and awesome playability. THIS IS AN AWESOME GUITAR FOR THE MONEY!!!

I have this guitar for 2 years now and still one of my favorite guitars that I have. This is my 18th electric not including acoustics and I practice with it for 2-3 hrs without getting sick of it. It plays good with trash, death, drop d whatever metal you wanna call it. My other esp is the EC50 and plays great as well. It is good for the price, you cant go wrong with that. I am very loyal with ESP as a matter of fact, I have 11 ESP electric 3 epiphone les pauls, 1 schecter, and 3 fender strat. I am very loyal to my guitars especially to my ESP's because it is worth every penny.

Comments about ESP LTD EC-100QM Electric Guitar:

The pickups are definitely not perfect. They're certainly no P90s, but in buying a guitar with two ESP humbuckers in it, I wasn't expecting perfect. What I got, though, for ridiculously cheap, was a sweet sustain with a surprising amount of high end response. I love the treble of this guitar. The bridge pickup, though, also does a very jazzy mellow sound. The neck is slick and responsive, and it doesn't buzz. It's treated me well for a year now. One of my knobs is loose, and that's my only complaint. It's balanced well, but the thing's a TANK. It weighs as much as my Jazz bass, but it can take a beating like nothing else. Best value for the money.

The only thing wrong with it is the neck pick up is a little too fuzzy i think, but other than that it is an awesome guitar! I would definatly recomend it to anyone! Its not just a beginner to intermediate guitar either it has killer tone and sustain.

Comments about ESP LTD EC-100QM Electric Guitar:

I was so happy when I got this thing. The ESP EC-100QM is one of the best guitars I have ever played. It's great for really fast stuff. I have never played a guitar that made my solos sound better. The other things I like about it are the neck, on which I can easily access the really high frets and the red paint job. The oly problems are that it doesn't stay in tune for long, and that the knobs are a little wobbly. My tone knob fell off a few days back, but it's sturdier than ever now. Check this guitar out!
