There IS a difference

I love the Tele '72 Deluxe and I have 2 reissues in black and walnut. I couldn't resist the Road Worn version - more out of curiosity than anything else. Whatever your views on 'relicing' the acid test is tone and playability. And it really betters what for me is already an excellent guitar (the Classic 72 Deluxe reissue). The whole sound is more airy - the way it distorts (through a variety of tube amps) is intoxicating. There's much more articulation and complex chords, which can go to mush when overdriven, sound wonderfully clear. My only MINOR gripe was the neck back was a little too 'bare wood' for my taste so I voided my warranty by adding just a hint of a finish and nearly removing it all with good ole 0000 grade wire wool. But this is personal taste - you're going to love it anyway.
