OVERVIEW

Popular stripped-down LP in traditional style.

The 2016 Les Paul Studio T is ideal for the serious guitarist who wants a great performer, but needs to stay within budget. This year's model is available with a carved maple top over a weight-relieved mahogany body in a wide selection of cool colors, all in a thin, high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish. The exclusive finishing process is labor intensive and isn't just about looks, but helps define this model' exceptional tone.

The neck features Gibson's traditional nut width that players love and a thicker, one-piece rosewood fingerboard that offers better feel and sustain. All Les Paul models this year come with a self-lubricating Graph Tech nut that helps in tuning and lets strings return to pitch following heavy string bending. Electronics feature Gibson' popular 490R and 498T humbuckers with alnico magnets for rich, singing tones in all positions.

Traditional manual tuners add a vintage vibe while providing smooth and efficient performance. Set up at the factory by experts, the 2016 Les Paul Studio T is ready for immediate action and comes in a traditional brown hardshell case.

Comments about Gibson 2016 Les Paul Studio T Electric Guitar:

Very pleased with this guitar. I got the Wine Red w/ gold hdw. Very nice looking finish. Ready to play right out of the case. Thought I would be disappointed with the 490/498 pup combo, instead of the '57 Classics, but after 2 weeks of playing I am totally satisfied with the sounds I can get with the stock pup's. Best part no auto tuners, & head stock logo is traditional. Price still a little high, but worth it .Had been shopping the Les Paul Studio for a couple of years now. Glad I waited to get this 2016 model.

Comments about Gibson 2016 Les Paul Studio T Electric Guitar:

This is my first electric guitar and with all the guitars out there- including Les Paul copies and ultra-low priced offshore models, I had to do quite a bit of research of what to buy. The old saying " you get what you pay for" certainly applies.

I settled on a 2016 gibson LP faded in ebony, and after owning for almost a year I can say that I am not only 100% satisfied, my guitar was one of the best purchases i've made in 46 years. No, there's no binding and no flashy gold plated parts, but for a working man's guitar it is hard to beat. The tone and sustain is absolutely amazing. To this day I am still surprised at how good my guitar sounds, and how comfortable it is to play. Fit and finish was excellent. Set-up was great right out of the box. After playing for a few months and changing strings a couple times, I changed the set-up myself a bit, which was easy even for a novice like me.

I'll never sell this guitar! Thanks Gibson, the 2016 faded series is a winner in my books!
