The 1960 Les Paul Standard Reissue starts with a one-piece mahogany body and figured maple top, a combination that produces a clear, balanced tone with singing sustain. The Slim Taper mahogany neck has an easy, fast feel, allowing intricate solos and complex chords with speed and precision.
P.A.F-Style Pickups for Classic Rock Tone
The 1960 Les Paul Standard Reissue features Gibson's P.A.F-style humbucking pickups, which provide the warm, articulate tone of original late-'50s models. The neck pickup has an airy, vocal quality perfect for bluesy melodies and jazz chords. The bridge pickup delivers a cutting tone ideal for solos, with a touch of vintage grit. V.O.S. hardware includes Gibson's ABR-1 Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece and vintage-style tuners. From the hide-glue construction to the era-correct hardware, no detail was overlooked in recreating the 1960 Les Paul Standard. The tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece provide rock-solid tuning stability and sustain. Vintage-style tuners with double-ring tips complete the period-correct aesthetic. The control knobs are reissues of the original "reflector" knobs, named for the aluminum inserts. All electronics are hand-wired for an authentic vintage tone with no loss of signal quality.
