Comments about Gibson Custom Standard Historic 1958 Les Paul Plaintop Reissue VOS Electric Guitar:

I've always wanted a Les Paul since I was a kid, largely because of Ace Frehley. But then I got into Eddie Van Halen and went for that style guitar instead. I eventually ordered the 1958 VOS les paul as I liked the vintage look (and I didn't want to pay extra for the '59). It took a few days to get used to the wide neck (as I have small hands)and the slightly smaller frets than what I have on my Wolfgang; but once I did, I actually don't like playing the Wolfgang as much anymore. The one relative benefit of the Les Paul is the flatter fret board profile and wider string spacing. The latter helps to prevent unwanted accidental string hits. And the sound is sooooooo amazing and versatile. It even makes a micro amp i have sound like a real amp. Way better than any other guitar I've owned or played.

Comments about Gibson Custom Standard Historic 1958 Les Paul Plaintop Reissue VOS Electric Guitar:

I don't know why they call these guitars plaintop, the flame they have is amazing.
I always like a chunky neck and thus one delivers, the custom buckers are great, my only minor quibble is that the range of the pots is very limited and the volume.drops pretty fast from 10 to 8, otherwise, if it looks like a dream and plays like a dream, what else is there to say ?
