Comments about Guild D-140 Acoustic Guitar:

I added a few things like a Tusq compensated saddle, Tusq pins and a K&K Pure Mini pickup and filed the nut a bit but this guitar will stack up to any top end guitars. I like it way more than my D18.
Don't pass this one up !

Comments about Guild D-140 Acoustic Guitar:

I was looking around for a Gibson J-45 because I had several guitars with rosewood back and sides and wanted a mahogany guitar for something a little difference. Went to several stores trying out J-45s when I came across this guild. i was surprised at the sound and playability. After trying out more Gibsons I kept coming back to the Guild. It just spoke to me so I bought it instead.
I've had it for a month now and I'm still very pleased with it. The build quality is excellent and even after installing a Fishman pickup it's still less than half the cost of the Gibson.

Comments about Guild D-140 Acoustic Guitar:

I bought the D-140 after looking at MANY other models. It has the best tone and playability for the money of anything I played.

Comments about Guild D-140 Acoustic Guitar:

I use this guitar as backup to my rather road weary D-55. Naturally, it is not as warm or articulate or resonate as the D-55 but it is well-balanced, and brassy and woody in a good way. Also has a lovely high gloss finish, especially in SB. The 1.75" neck makes it best suited for finger picking but works OK for strumming too. At its price, I certainly do not know of a better sounding or playing guitar on the market.

Overall, this is the 5th Guild I have owned: D-40, D-44, D-50, D-55 and now the D-140. Somehow, I always end up going back to them.

Comments about Guild D-140 Acoustic Guitar:

I have been playing guitar for 30 years and I have mainly used pro series takamines and martin D-18.
After not owning a good guitar for a few years due to personal commitments, I was on the hunt.
This Guild is amazing, it stacks up against any guitar costing 2 or 3 times more.
I played Martin, Takamine and Taylor in my search but this beauty kept me coming back so I took it home.
I have since added a LR Baggs anthem pickup and it just sings on stage.

Comments about Guild D-140 Acoustic Guitar:

Guitar sounds great you can not find that sound in the price range for the money. I usually play Martin d 35s so I'm use to the Martin style neck this neck does not have that comfortable feel to it, that's the only con I have found. Other than that it's a great deal.
