Comments about Ibanez JS1000 Electric Guitar:
I bought the guitar on a whim, and have been extremely happey. Very playable, light and comfortable. Easy to set up with low action and fast comfortable neck. Great souning and can be used with any style of music. Totally worth the money !!!
Comments about Ibanez JS1000 Electric Guitar:
I own two of these -- a 5-year-old white and a 2-week old black pearl. And I plan to buy more of them. I also own many Jacksons and several other Ibanezes. I recently returned from a 5-year hiatus from the guitar and decided to re-evaluate all my guitars to see which one I'd want to use for a new album. After extensive comparisons I found that the JS1000's had the best playability, the best sound, and the best construction. Note that you do need to have these professionally set up if you want maximum performance for shredding. I had my new black pearl set up by Rich at IbanezRules and now the action is so low it's unmatched. I then re-setup my white one myself by shimming the nut and the neck and how it's also amazing. But I've recorded four albums with the stock white JS1000, so even without a pro setup it's an amazing guitar. Shred, blues, metal, it can do them all. But most importantly: once you've spent some quality time with a JS1000 you'll find that there's something special (if elusive) about the neck. My other Ibanezes have more frets and comparable action, but when I pick up my JS1000 my fingers just always seem more at home, anywhere on the neck.
Comments about Ibanez JS1000 Electric Guitar:
until recently I didn't know that the Js 1000 came in a white finish which looks awsome! This guitar is easy to play EVH solos with not much distortion on. It would be nice to have a third tone nob and a virtually noiseless pickup switch for and easy transition but other than that this is my favorite guitar out of the many I own.... even better than a Gibson. sorry Gibson fans. The tone is bright and clear and goes great with any amp you have.
Comments about Ibanez JS1000 Electric Guitar:
This is a truly amazing guitar - it looks fantastic, it plays like a dream and it sounds great. The price tag is a bit steep, but well worth it if you are seriously interested. The guitar has a fast neck, with low action - very fast.It has great tonal versatility with the coil tap.
Comments about Ibanez JS1000 Electric Guitar:
I've owned the JS1000 for 3 years now and over the course of 3 years I always find myself looking at much more expensive guitars, mainly because I can afford them. But everytime I get to seriously thinking about spending the big bucks, I ask myself, "Is it going to be any better than the JS?". The answer is always "no". I really don't think you can get a better playing, sounding guitar for twice the price. You might get an axe that equals this for twice the price, but not a better one IMO. For as light as this guitar is, it has tremendous sustain. I just love playing this thing. If you are looking at guitars just slightly below this price range, do yourself a favor: wait a little longer and save a few extra and buy this axe - you will NOT be disappointed.
Comments about Ibanez JS1000 Electric Guitar:
I bought this guitar because my band is doing several satch tunes and I needed the right axe for the job. This is now my favorite electric I own. My LP Classic and Strat are both excellent guitars but this is the one I wind up playing the most. It's a very light and comfortable guitar, sounds killer and plays great. Had it about a year now and am very happy with it.

Comments about Ibanez JS1000 Electric Guitar:
This guitar is great. It plays better and faster then most guitars in its class, and it is all around a great, well built instrument.
It does have slight fret buzz, but im sure it can be fixed easily. It also has some trouble cutting through the noise made by other instruments, as its pickups aren't as harsh or high output as others, but it's not too much of a problem.
Overall, this is an amazing guitar, and probably the best guitar I've ever played.
Comments about Ibanez JS1000 Electric Guitar:
I have the 2002 js1000 and id say ive tried my best not to hurt it but it seems tone comes at a price and this thing gets dinged up even if i just poke it! but hey, as long as it sounds good im happy with it. I dont seem the point in the neck contour when everytime i get up there it hit the metal neck cover and it hurts like heck. other than that i really enjoy this instrument. ohh and dont clean yourr hardware cause every ibanez i own the metal fades so badly on it.
Comments about Ibanez JS1000 Electric Guitar:
I have played many guitars, and this one takes the cake. It is a bit pricy, but the way it feels and sounds is worth it! The harmonics are great and you can get a perfect dimebag squeel with this guitar. The tremlo system is better than any I've had before. It did go out of tune just a bit when the new strings were breaking in, but ever since...I have been using the crap outta the whammy just to see if it stays in tune, and it is right on the money! Actions great, It's light weight, and I cant think of anything to I'd do different making this guitar besides putting on thicker strings for heavier music. Grat job Ibanez!
Comments about Ibanez JS1000 Electric Guitar:
I own the JS1000 signature and I love it. I've only had it for a couple months now and I am so attached already. I use a Marshall Valvestate 2000 that makes the JS that much better.
Comments about Ibanez JS1000 Electric Guitar:
Well, don't really know about this one. I have an older Hollywood custom shop 540R LTD that has been my #1 for years. I thought I'd give this a try. Nice comfy neck, kind of like the smaller frets and the radius falls into your hands. The nut isn't quite true to the radius though, the high and low end are a bit high and the D and G string are a little low at maxium adjustment. Why didn't they re-engineer a curved nut to match the fretboard radius? That would make the guitar. The fretboard material is very grainy and light colored, the fret slots are a little rough in some spots but overall o.k. Pickups are great, work well with any setting. I block my trems for down motion only(ala Van Halen, why doesn't everyone do this? Do you like spending 45 minutes or more every time you change strings and double stops are a mute point!) so I don't have the tuning issues alot of people have. Not a bad guitar but would rather wait for a second hand custom shop one later.
Comments about Ibanez JS1000 Electric Guitar:
I bought the JS 1000 in December 2006 for my grandson. I've played around with it since then and fell in love with the quality of this product. Super fast fretboard, noise-free tones, perfect balance and absolute beautiful finish make this one a keeper. This guitar is fun to play and after all, isn't that what this is all about. I soon felt guilty playing the JS 1000 too much so I picked up a JS 1200 for me to play. Now my grandson has his guitar back once again. Both guitars are quality machines. I feel we now have the best guitars Ibanez has to offer. Ibanez hit the bullseye on this one. In my opinion, my money was well spent.
Comments about Ibanez JS1000 Electric Guitar:
I just bought a JS1000 new, and man it is awesome. I play through a digitech rp300 effects pedal and a Roland Jazz Chorus 120. Before now I played a Fender Telecaster. Big change. It's hard to compare the 2. The JS is alot easier to play but they are 2 diffirent types/styles of guitars. Features- This guitar has pretty good features. The trem is nice and the coil tap is a nice addition. Trem doesn't go out of tune in my experince. 3 way selecter is enough tone variation for me, but the coil tap allows you to tweak it even more. Great tone from the dimarzios. This thing can weep or scream. You can really get a Satch tone. Neck is not flat but fast and fairly small radius. Good upper fret access. Quality- so far seems great. Good strap buttons. This guitar is so light and small, it seems fragile, but it is really solid. Finish is durable, but I plan to baby this guitar so hopefully it won't be put to the test. Value- It's expensive, but it's worth it. Very nice hardshell case included. Overall- Great guitar, great quality, awesome sound. You have to pay alot more to get much better of a guitar. If you have the money and want a high guality tone machine, check one of these out.
Comments about Ibanez JS1000 Electric Guitar:
This guitar is a real crowd pleaser!....my band is going nuts over the tone this guitar can produce...from driving soaring rich distortion, to roll off the volume split the coil and high pass knob and the cleans are rich and thick, and everywhere in between! You will not be unhappy with guitar! I read a review once before I got mine which someone said, "If you want to bring your playing up a few notches, get this guitar."...and I have found that to be so true. The overtones this guitar produces are simply beautiful. This guitar does allow you play "Strange Beautiful Music"......10s all the way!
Comments about Ibanez JS1000 Electric Guitar:
I have a JS1000 and a JS2000 and these are the best Ibanez has to offer. They make some fancier guitars, but for tone, comfort and feel these are out of this world. The Ibanez Floyd is also the best made by any company (not the low TRS that is a cheaper one.) Very smooth. You have to see this Black Pearl finish and Cosmo hardware in persone to understand it's beauty. The JS1000 does not have the flat wizard neck profile or enormous frets. If that is what you want get the second best Ibanez, the RG neck through with Ash body sides. This guitar has tall narrrow frets with a very comfortable radius. The neck is an exact digital replica of Joe's favorite old well worn in Axe, so the guitar feels broke-in and comfortable right out of the box.
Comments about Ibanez JS1000 Electric Guitar:
I've been disputing between an H series guitar by LTD and an Ibanez Prestige for quite awhile now. I've been trying to figure out which is the better buy. Comparing the LTD to the Prestige, the LTD won hands down but then I saw the JS1000 in the black pearl finish and it caught my eye immediately. So I decided "ah heck I'll try it out" It had an almost identical neck to the LTD, better pickups, the awesome tremolo with locks, and good quality tuners. Can't forget that amazing finish. I play stuff like Between the Buried and Me all the sweep picking and sextuplet runs stuff but also with a heavy side. The guitar was in D and sounds heavier than my current guitar. Maybe it's the basswood body? I don't know but I do know that I would definitely sacrifice only having to pay for the LTD to save up for this beast of a guitar.
Comments about Ibanez JS1000 Electric Guitar:
I go to guitar center for hours every week just to play this js1000. It has the best pickups for the kind of music I play. Even though the price may seem high, it is 100 percent worth it. It is very light so it doesnt hold you down and mess you up, and if you play sitting down, it fits perfectly on your lap.If you don't have this guitar yet, then you should at least try it out.
Comments about Ibanez JS1000 Electric Guitar:
This thing is gorgeous. Very expressive guitar. Probably the most versatile I've ever played. Plays like a strat with a dash of humbucker. Gets that smooth glassy tone but also has a strong lead tone. I can't describe how wonderful this guitar is. Try one out, see if it's for you.
Comments about Ibanez JS1000 Electric Guitar:
I bought this guitar back in 1993 when the first model came out and it has done thousands of gigs. Never missed a beat .. Super fast to play and being in a covers band we played for 4 or 5 hours each night and it was never tiring to play.. Great for rock and blues and heavy heavy stuff but not necessary a great clean tone without using the coil tap and pickup splitter.. Which is a pain to switch back for a full blown lead solo.. But overall the best guitar i've ever owned or played in 25 years
Comments about Ibanez JS1000 Electric Guitar:
When you buy a signature model guitar like this one you spect you have one caracteristic sound, whell whit this guitar you can have many carcateristics sounds. The versatility that it's shape, it's mics dinamycs response and the great playability are truly worth. Inluding praf pro pick up give the guitar that old clasic sound such a les paul guitars. In resume versatile, you can play hard core like a devil and reggae like a rastafary....
