I bought this to replace a Rogue Herringbone 12 string I have had since 2006. I retired my previous 12 string after it survived deployment to Iraq.

This Ibanez PF1512 kept finding me while I was looking for a new guitar. I couldn't find any reviews, but decided to take the plunge when I found a really good deal on one. The guitar is a lower end model, but still better quality than a generic offering. Compared to my Rogue, this is a better guitar.

The sound is full and clear. Without any setup it was easy to play. It tunes nicely and stays in tune (a nice asset for a 12 string). This is my "go-to" for just wanting to strum.

If you can't afford a grand guitar then this model will not dissapoint for price and playability.

Back in the high school days my buddy had a cheap 12string we were trying to get that David Gilmour Pink Floyd sound. Every time I see a twelve string I think back to being in a cover band playing wish you were here. So I bought an Ibanez pf12 about 8years ago. And I sold it Im thinking of buying this model. What I didnt know at the time David Gilmour also used a guitar in nashville tuning for comfortably numb he shows this guitar in an interview on you tube where he is talking about Sid Barrett. For anyone interested in nashville tuning its where you replace strings 3 4 5 and 6 with octave strings of a twelve string set and strings 1 and 2 stay the same an old studio trick for getting a fuller sound.

Comments about Ibanez Performance Series PF1512 Dreadnought 12-String Acoustic Guitar:

Hesitated to buy this guitar because of the low asking price. Then I picked it up and played it and was sold immediately. Even out of tune it sounded amazing, but after tuning it properly it rings like a bell and fills the room with beautiful tones and the easiest action of any 12 string I have ever handled by far.

I have several 12 strings, Martin D28-12, Gibson B25-12, Seagull S-12. I bought the PF 1512 as a "beater"! Something I can drag around to play anywhere and not have to worry about it being knock off it'stand or otherwise hurt. (yes hurt....guitars can feel pain). It sounds okay, even when it's D tuned and capoed up. For the money it's a good deal.

Comments about Ibanez Performance Series PF1512 Dreadnought 12-String Acoustic Guitar:

Bought this as my first guitar two years ago. It sounded really sweet and stayed in tune rather well. It convinced me to buy two other Ibanez products, a 6-string and a bass. Last week, the lighter G string broke, so I figured it was about time to put new strings on it. The bridge pins were not only NOT hand-removeable, I stripped my pin-puller trying to get the first one out. The second pin snapped as I tried to ease it out with needle-nose pliers. Looks like I'm going to have to drill the rest out and buy new pins. I hope I don't have this problem with my newer guitar... I wonder if that's covered in the limited two-year warranty.

Very mellow sound. Not your typical thin 12 string sound. Well built. I couldn't pass it up for the price.
