Awesome RG

Comments about Ibanez RG450MDX Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar because i felt the need to kick it up a few notches. I wanted something with a floyd type trem and after much looking finally decided on this...Bottom line: this thing smokes! out of the box it was immediately obvious how solid it is. Visually flawless and it had pretty decent action right out of the gate...was very happy i didnt have to take it to a shop to get it set up properly. the neck is thin and fast, the frets were dressed well, and the trem works the way its supposed to. The pups sound pretty good too even though they're stock. overall i am in love with thing and I would absolutely recommend that you check this thing out for yourself!! Awesome!

Nice Guitar, right out of box!

Comments about Ibanez RG450MDX Electric Guitar:

Guitar was playable right out of the box. Very eye catching with it's red inlays! Not bad of a factory set-up but I had to take the action a little lower. The Edge trem was a little hard to figure out, but that's just because I'm used to a Floyd Rose. Pickup's have a lot to be desired, in my opinion. I had to swap them out for some red DiMarzio's!! She's a machine now!!!

Comments about Ibanez RG450MDX Electric Guitar:

Overall, I would recommend this guitar to anyone, wether it be beginner, intermidiate, or expert player. this guitar gets the job done. Although it is a little heavier than I expected (probable because I've gotten used to playing a guitar with an arched top), it is very comfortable to play. The cutout where you rest your arm is in just the right place. Don't go for an RG350 just because it's 50 bucks cheaper. You get every penny's worth out of this guitar.
The zero point system on this thing is awesome. Tuning it is easier because you need no screwdriver like on my edge III tremolo. All you do is turn the knob. The pickups are halfway decent. The single coil kind of gets in the way of my picking, but that's probably just because I'm not used to having a single coil. The three piece neck is slim and fast. It makes for easy playability. As far as looks, this guitar has it all. The red sharktooth inlays really pop against the maple fretboard. The picture shows just a flat red finish. In reality, it looks more like a red you would see on a farrarri.
The frets on the guitar are pretty good. You can tell they took the time to make the frets comfortable. On another cheaper guitar I got (not an Ibanez), the frets jutted out of the side of the fretboard. I was really pleased that I did not have to take it to get the frets dressed.
I would have easily payed double for what I payed for this guitar if it had better pickups. Once I change the pickups in it, it will sound as good as a prestige.
