An Awesome Metal Guitar!!!

Comments about Jackson JS30RR FR Rhoads Electric Guitar:

First of all, i would just like to say that this guitar is definitely one of the best that i own. I did not own a guitar with a floyd rose previously to buying it, but i do have experience with them. Let me just say that the floyd rose equipped in this baby, NEVER goes out of tune, even with high bends and crazy divebombs/ squealies. It is definately comparable with other floyd rose guitars with a higher price. I have made my neighbors pretty angry with this guitar, more specifically the floyd rose. :)Now the pickups are okay, they are really quiet and have a decently high output on them, so they are perfect for all things metal, but everything in between. The cleans sound orgasmic on this guitar, VERY shimmering, articulate cleans. Bridge pickup is good, as well as the neck pickup, which is awesome for sweeps and solos. The action is pretty low, but not low as to where the notes don't ring out, because on this guitar is fantastic. I've had notes ring out for like 20 seconds on this puppy. The neck is very fast and comfortable to play, almost like butter and is flat by the headstock and body, perfect for chords and fast soloing.there are 24 frets, thats definitely a plus, and it is a bolt on, which you would think would be hard to play, but it isn't you can practically fly across anywhere on the neck and play pretty much every note on every fret with extreme clarity.Overall, this is not a beginners guitar at all. I have been playing guitar for 7 years now and played many guitars in this price range and nothing compares to what you get here. This is one of the best guitars for metal for the best deal. BUY IT TODAY!!!

Good, but not great

Comments about Jackson JS30RR FR Rhoads Electric Guitar:

I have had the fixed bridge version of this guitar for over a year now, and while it's suited my needs, it's left me wanting more. Now don't get me wrong, as far as beginners guitars or backup guitars go, this is one of the absolute best. But if you're serious about your playing, you may find yourself wanting something better after a while. For what I like about it: I absolutely LOVE the neck. Jacksons are well known for their comfortable necks, and this one really shows why. It's so slim and fast, I could play it all day and not get tired. I also really like the bridge. It's excellent for palm muting. The 24 frets also comes in handy. Now for the bad: The pickups, in my opinion, are rather muddy. They are very much beginner guitar stock pickups. If you want this as your main guitar and you gig regularly, I would suggest changing the pickups. It also comes out of tune more often than I would like. (At least that's an issue on mine, it may not be with the Floyd Rose version.) And the frets are also raised just enough to be an issue when sliding up and down the neck. My final complaint is that, being a bolt on neck, it restricts access to the upper frets somewhat and also cuts down on the sustain (which is horrible in the high end, I don't know how many times I've held chords and 5 seconds later only the bottom note was ringing). But my complaints are somewhat nitpicky. Bottom line: This guitar is great as a beginning guitar or as a backup guitar live. I should mention that it does well with drop tunings (I've tuned it down to Bb with no issues) and that it looks really good on stage. But if you're looking for a main axe or something for a serious beginner, you might be better saving your money for something better.

Beginners guitar??? I don't think so!

Comments about Jackson JS30RR FR Rhoads Electric Guitar:

Fantastic!!! Can?t believe this guitar is rated as a ?beginners? guitar??? Although it is crafted in India? don?t let that fool you. The JS30RR FR is beautiful and plays like a dream. I?m not crazy about the sound of the neck pick-up, but the bridge pick-up is great! Low action, no fret buzz, stays in tune, and Floyd Rose always returns to center. Oh ya, it looks cool! The only real draw-back (as is with all the JS30RR series guitars) is the input/jack placement on the lower horn. It should redesigned and placed/installed in the upper horn like the RR models. Contrary to the rating? this guitar is suited for both, the beginner and the experienced player/shredder.
