OVERVIEW

For the metalhead seeking looks and performance!

The Jackson RR24 Randy Rhoads Snow White Electric Guitar gives you superior tone, sustain and playability. This version of the Randy Rhoads has it all: neck-thru-body construction, an alder body, maple neck with a compound-radius rosewood fretboard, an EMG 81 humbucker, Floyd Rose tremolo, sharkfin inlays, and Gotoh tuners. Looks hot and sounds hot!

Jackson's compound-radius fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out. With a more relaxed hand, you'll play better!

i played this guitar at a music shop and it was the best thing i ever picked up. It's got a fast neck low action and the 81 just makes it all the better. It's got amazing features, and it looks tight too. I don't think i've ever seen such a stylin guitar.

This is a great guitar. It's built well, plays well, stays in tune GREAT because of the Floyd Rose. I don't mind that it only has one pickup, but you can chalk that up to personal preference.Buy one!

    Amazing

I used to be quite skeptical about jacksons and any guitar that wasnt a gibson or fender, but after starting to like Randy Rhoads, I started to grow on these guitars. I tried this out today at a store through a marshall stack, and was blown away. The neck is very comfortable, I could move up and down qucikly. The tremelo was awesome. And the body is very lightweight. My only complaint is that you really can't play these sitting down due to the shape, and they just fall off your legs.

    Sick Guitar!

I was extremely excited when i first brought this guitar home. I was not in the least bit disappointed. The EMG pickup is excellent for heavy, searing leads. The floyd rose tremolo system is flawless and performs even the craziest divebombs with precision. No matter how much you use the floyd rose, the guitar never goes out of tune. This is an incredible instrument that will not disappoint.

I played this before and I got to say it's a sweet Axe but I am not a fan of EMG Passive or active they just sound crappy to me. Personally I would like to see jackson make a copy of this guitar but put a seymour duncan Blackout Active humbucker on it instead of an EMG 81 if I do get this thats the onyl modification I will make.

    The Best.

This guitar is AMAZING. I picked one up when it was first released. The neck thru body, original floyd rose and EMG 81 will blow any other guitar away. I've played RR1s, RR5s and RR3s and NONE can compete with this V. Alexi made a mistake when he chose to switch to ESP.

Overall an amazing guitar! VERY smooth neck. 24 frets is a nice addition. The one EMG 81 is a power house (it comes with the 9-volt) And the original floyd rose whammy is amazing. never goes out of tune once the stings are settled in. Sustain is amazing. This thing Soars. And looks amazing. Hard to play sitting down though. I play through a Marshall MG100 and Marshall AVT50. AMAZING.Buy now

This guitar is perfect....i don't know why anyone would play anything besides a Jackson... the neck is a perfect example of what a jackson should be wide, flat and fast ....the floyd rose stays in tune when abuse the right way and the EMG-81 are it, perfect for my style of music ... i usually put a guitar through the pastes and abuse the hell out it but this guitar surived (amazed)well my only CON about this guitar is that i had to wait three months to get my hands on this guitar because i order stright from Japan but it was worth the torture of waiting

the former alexi model: the Jackson RR24 guitar

    By Brent Addison

    from St. Cloud, Florida

I was pretty excited about this guitar and expected something fairly decent. When I took it out of the box I was amazed by the quality of the fretboard first. This guitar looks about 100 times better in person. The ebony fretboard is so smooth and this guitar has great upper fret access. I don't know how to describe how beautiful this guitar is. There's no picture you can find online to truly show it. Even the simple moto inlays look great. And lastly the EMG pickup. I used to use a distortion pedal for my other guitars. This one however has all the gain you'll ever need. I can plug straight into a 10 watt amp and it still sounds incredible. All around incredible guitar from looks, to sustain, to tone, speed. Not a cheap piece of equipment on this guitar. I love it!!! Best metal guitar on the planet bar none!!!!

    Jackson Pro RR24

Pros: This guitar stands up well to my other jackson Rhoads models. I have the 1992 Tribute Rhoads, RR1T, RR3, and a Roswell Rhoads Pro, DK2's, and some ESP guitars. The EMG 81 is a great pickup for this guitar. The OFR is great! The fretboard is very nice, and the thing plays like a beast.Cons: For whatever reason Jackson has put black binding on these guitars and MOTO inlays instead of Mother of Pearl. They've gone all out with a EMG 81 and a real OFR but they put an unattractive binding on the guitar, and plastic inlays. For that I can't give the guitar a perfect score on features. Otherwise sound and playability (Which is really what matters) this guitar rocks in big ways and is a great addition to my collection

Love this bad boy right here! This guitar fits my needs perfectly. I belive you only need a single voulume knob on a guitar and to let you're amp do the equalizing. Single emg 81 does an outstanding job however I would suggest blackouts if not 100% tone wise. Other than that i couldnt see why u hav not gotten ur hands on this BEAST yet!!

the jackson rr24 is truely a beauty, it has a very heavy and crunchy tone with its emg81. however it lacks in features with only a volume knob, despite its few features these suit the guitar as it only has one pick up. it has wonderful sustain and flawless action levels with one of the best floyds i have ever used

    Jackson is best!

    By Anonymous

Well not much to say. My first jackson. Best weapon I have ever used. I have played about 15 years, I have played Epiphone, Ibanex, BC Rich Ironbird and this is so far best buy! Neck is very fast, guitar is light like a feather and what is almost best thing that this guitar is totaly balanced, first "pointed" or pointy shaped guitar that is in balance I have used. Some very minor finish defects but not worth to mention. EMG, Original FR, awesome design, only volume button, stays tuned, very minimum and radical, the best combination to shred! From now on I will stick only to the Jackson electric guitars.

This guitar is awesome the best guitar i have ever played and i've played some expensive ones. I haven't put it down since i got it i can't feel my finger tips but i can't stop. Hammer on's, pull offs, bends, everything is so easy on this guitar, it has a fast neck, it has the famous floyd rose what more can you ask for. I was thinking about getting a gibson but i bought this instead and im glad i did.

    AMAZING

    By BrutalShred

There's no many things to say about this axe, except is AMAZING!!You're problem is that it has only one pickup? Try it and you will change you're mind, folks! the EMG81 is a beast and the original Floyd Rose is a guarantee of quality. The balance of the body is perfect and it comes from the factory with low action, which I prefer in guitars. I spend days set up my other guitars with floyd systems, but this baby is perfect and you won't waste you're time tuning it. Another goal by Jackson!

    Nice and simple

First, I would like to say I would not have bought this guitar in June or 2008 had I known that in January of 2009 Fender still wouldn't have a case available for it. Bad, bad idea to sell higher end guitars with no case availability. I have to be so careful with it that it takes away from the enjoyment of owning it. That said, the guitar is lovely. It's made for metal and it performs. I'm very happy with the simplicity. It's a tad overpriced considering Jackson has very similar guitars available right now with more features at the same price. I would think losing one EMG pickup could drop the price about $75. Plays great though. You would only be looking at this guitar for one reason, and it will satisfy that need. I had to set mine up out of the box, it did not arrive setup perfectly, but very close. Comments galore when you pull this thing out. Everybody loves the look. I say buy this guitar if you can find a case or Fender finally makes one available.

    It's not perfect

I'm going to point out what I think a lot of people miss with this guitar. I have to say, there are some really stupid features on here that, I think, rob this guitar of more tone. If you flip the guitar around you'll notice the HUGE cavity routed out for the one tiny volume pot that probably takes up 1/8 the space of the entire cavity. And then you'll notice right next to that cavity is ANOTHER one routed for a battery pack -_-. I'm not an EMG fan and I'm sorry to all the EMG fan boys out there but I just can't stand them. I knew the first thing I was going to do was replace the pickups and seeing that just kinda made my eye twitch. It's probably because of the large amount of wood that was taken away that caused this guitar to be neck heavy too. But it really isn't as big of a deal as I might be making. All I did was get some 9 volt batteries, covered them with duck tape, and stuck them inside the empty spaces in the cavity and the battery pack also. I also took steel back plates to the electronics cavity and whammy cavity and replaced the plastic ones with them. I use a nylon strap and I don't have neck heavy problems anymore! These little bitty issues I found with this guitar still doesn't change the way I feel about it. It plays EXTREMELY well and has a very nice fret job on it. I play with 9's with very low action and I get very little buzz and NO dead notes anywhere. I gave the features a 3, well, because it's not a very flexible guitar but that's OK cause this is all I want/need when it comes to playing METAL!!!!!
