OVERVIEW

Neck-through design, EMG pickups and hardtail bridge.

One name is synonymous with the utmost in high-performance guitar design—Jackson, the progenitor of all musical speed machines. Conceived as a launching platform for technically advanced guitar playing, the SLATHXMG(M)3-6 Soloist is rife with Jackson’s bloodline—sophisticated ergonomic design, ultra-fast playability and, of course, monstrous tone.

Dual graphite reinforcement rods run the length of the maple neck with speed profile to fortify it against the extremes of nature, buttressing it against warping while a speedy 12”-16” compound radius maple fingerboard creates the ideal playing surface for fat riffs and easy chording near the black plastic nut while gradually flattening in the upper registers for lightning-quick solos and wide bends without fear of fretting out.

A pair of EMG active humbucking pickups—an 85 neck pickup and 81 bridge pickup—generate versatile, huge and high output tones for brutal distortion and clear, crisp cleans. The Hardtail 6 strings-thru-body bridge produces massive sustain with enhanced note attack, and when combined with the Jackson-branded tuning machines, rock-solid tuning stability along with precise intonation.

Classic Jackson appointments include the instantly recognizable piranha inlays, stable Dunlop dual-locking strap buttons, black hardware, single-ply neck binding and the Soloist’s ergonomically arched top for playing blazing licks with comfort. Sleek, refined, and dangerous, the SLATHXMG(M)3-6 Soloist is art brought to life, tempered with high-tech performance for the ultimate metal machine. Case sold separately.

Comments about Jackson SLATHXMGQ3-6 Soloist Electric Guitar:

As far as shredding guitars go, I've been an Ibanez man. I only wish I had tried Jackson sooner. This guitar is so solidly built and smooth. This is not the most expensive guitar I own, but it feels and plays as if it is. The only thing I would change is the color. I'd like the blue to be as bright as it is in the picture. The color is more gray than blue unless you hold it up to a light.

Comments about Jackson SLATHXMGQ3-6 Soloist Electric Guitar:

A masterfully crafted guitar that is worth every penny. After fiddling around with this guy for months, I have yet to find a single flaw. The craftsman ship is solid and the guitar has a wonderful feel to it. When I hold the guitar, I can feel a 'good' weight behind it that reassures me that the guitar is sturdy. The EMG 81/85 actives, despite not being as good as high-end Seymour Duncans such as Nazgul/Sentient or Alpha/Omega, are still very good pickups that'll work wonders for post rock, hard rock, and basically every form of metal.

Comments about Jackson SLATHXMGQ3-6 Soloist Electric Guitar:

I love the guitar, but it's my first in years 20+ so I may not have much to offer other than I like it. The finish on the neck defeats the purpose of a thin neck imo...

Perfect for tuning down 1 whole step. I use this guitar to play my favorite Ghost songs. Open box guitar was dabnabbit near mint.
