An up-to-date version of the treasured classic.

The Luna Muse Parlor Acoustic-Electric guitar is the refreshing modern-day descendant of a family of small-bodied instruments that date to the late 19th and early 20th centuries. In a time when guitars provided accompaniment for singers entertaining family and friends in intimate settings, the parlor guitar was valued for its comfortable size and full sound.

The Muse Parlor capably demonstrates that a petite guitar can deliver superb tones! For this distinctive instrument, Luna has combined a select spruce top with exotic African bubinga wood sides and back. The result is a marvelously melodic guitar that comfortably fits nearly any lap. Other feature highlights include the inlaid abalone crescent moon logo on the headstock, exclusive moon phase fretboard markers inlaid in abalone, the Luna rosewood bridge, and the built-in Orion 4-band preamp with tuner.

  • Small parlor cutaway body
  • 25-1/2" scale length with 1-5/8" nut width

  • Rosewood fingerboard
  • Petite neck profile
  • "Orion" 4 band preamp with tuner

Better Than I Expected

Comments about Luna Guitars Muse Parlor Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Fit and finish is very good quality. Design you can see for yourself but to me it's tasteful, different, and understated. Quality of materials is what you paid for in some ways (inlays on fretboard are not the best) and darn good in other ways. (The Bubinga wood sides and back are beautiful.) The sound is a little thin on the high end but better than I expected on the deep end. Neck is shallow providing good access to the strings. Good guitar for fingerpicking. The onboard tuner is quick and easy. As always, replace the strings with your favorite. No setup was neccesary- came ready to play.

Comments about Luna Guitars Muse Parlor Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I wanted a new guitar after I found some dead frets on my first. As a beginner, I didn't want to spend too much money for a guitar, and came across this one ultimately. The size is 3/4, really nice to carry around and it packs a small, though pretty nice sound unplugged. Granted, it's not like a dreadnought; and if you're looking for something purely acoustic w/o electronic, I'd recommend the Taylor Big Baby.

The B-Band pickup, though, is a really nice compensation for its small sound. It's very responsive, and the guitar came with battery installed.

Aesthetically, I like the guitar a lot. The matte finish is a personal preference that I have over gloss, and the moon mahogany inlay is pretty to look at. The finish job on the guitar is rough on some spots, but they are barely noticeable unless you really look for them. It is a 3/4 size guitar, but height wise, it's almost as tall as my full-size dreadnought.

Since my first guitar suffered from dead fret, the first thing I checked each individual frets first thing after I received the guitar and everything seems fine.

For a guitar at this price and size, I think that this is a great choice. I am pleased with my purchase
