OVERVIEW

Inspired by pre-war era Martin's, this modern model features a more playable design with an East Inidan rosewood body and Sitka spruce top.

Carrying a distinct vintage-inspired design and updated like the D-18 a few years ago, the Standard Series OM-28 Orchestra Model Acoustic Guitar offers many of the features found in Martin's pre-war era guitars. This Standard Series OM-28 is constructed with all the features of the OM-28E Retro without the electronics package. Aging toner and a polished gloss finish are applied to the Sitka spruce top that features 1/4 in. "X" scalloped bracing.

The polished gloss East Indian rosewood body is edged with ivoroid binding. Like the 000-18, the model's neck features a modified low oval profile with performing artist taper with a width of 1-3/4 in. at the nut and 2-3/16" string spacing for easy playability. Nickel open-geared tuners with butterbean knobs are found with a rosewood headplate, which displays a large old style Martin logo.

Includes Martin hardshell case.

Comments about Martin Standard Series OM-28 Orchestra Model Acoustic Guitar:

This is a great guitar. The craftsmanship is superb. The sound is amazing. It rings like a dream. Playing it makes you appreciate Martin's experience over the years perfecting the guitar design, specs, manufacturing, materials, etc. I always thought the details are tonewood selection/combination is overrated until I played one. Simply amazing, from the tone, the sound, the playability, the feel, the quality, craftsmanship, and most importantly the way it makes you feel as a musician. Feel the guitar and it's long history of learning and perfecting the instrument, collaborating with many great musicians. We only live once. Own one when you can and learn what Martin Pride is all about. What a marvelous guitar, marvelous experience, marvelous feeling to play one.

Comments about Martin Standard Series OM-28 Orchestra Model Acoustic Guitar:

I have purchased and sold a lot of acoustics over the years. I always seem to hold on to my USA made Martins because of the craftsmanship and the wonderful sounds coming from their bellies. The OM-28 is as incredible to look at as it is to play. Truly stunning. So glad I spent the money.
