(Open Box) Unique body shape and bracing patterns add more tonal complexity.

One of America’s most favorite guitars of all time, is the Sitka spruce and mahogany dreadnought. Its pronounced mid-range compliments other instruments on stage and provides ideal accompaniment for vocals. Breedlove’s all solid wood Stage Dreadnought is crafted with our unique body shape and bracing patterns to add more tonal complexity.

Body Shape
Breedlove set out to enhance the traditional dreadnought sound, and the results are evident. If you’re inspired by the familiarity of a dread, but are looking for more nuance and richness than usual, the Breedlove Dreadnought delivers. The shape is slightly more rounded than traditional dreadnoughts and produces beautifully full, punchy, and articulate tones. It also provides excellent projection and articulation, so it excels in any ensemble. The hand-graduated top provides the balance and clarity that make this one of the most innovative and expressive-sounding dreadnoughts on the market.

Breedlove Neck
Breedlove guitar necks feature a slimmer neck profile, which enables comfortable play, even with smaller hands. The hand-rubbed, semi-gloss Breedlove neck finish also contributes to ideal playability. The labor- intensive finish process includes precise finish coat applications, fine sanding, and hand buffing and rubbing.

Breedlove Pinless Bridge
The Breedlove Pinless Bridge helps maintain the integrity of the top by eliminating the need for six drilled string holes. The fewer holes in your soundboard, the more evenly the sound wave can move across the interior, without any loss of energy. The Breedlove Pinless Bridge also provides a gentler string-break angle from the bridge to the top of the saddle, reducing saddle strain. This innovative bridge also makes string changes a breeze, especially on 12 strings. Plus, you’ll never again have to worry about lost, worn- out, or broken bridge pins.

Top Wood
Sitka spruce, picea sitchensis, originates in the northwest United States. Sitka spruce has been the primary top wood for American-made instruments for decades. It is strong and light with extended harmonic content, and it nearly equals the power of Adirondack. It offers a strong, focused tone with a solid fundamental -- perfect for flatpicking styles. When compared with European spruce, Sitka delivers warmer, more fundamental sound, largely free of overtones. Sitka takes a slightly longer period of playing time to open up. It has a straight uniform grain and coloration ranges from white to pink to light brown.

Back and Side Wood
Mahogany (Sapele) is a medium-lightweight wood, ranging in color from light brown to dark, primarily used for necks because of the feel and the stability it provides. Balanced, resonant tone with notable sustain. Thick bottom end, rich midrange, and controlled, warm top end.

Limited Lifetime Warranty
Breedlove players around the world can attest: With consistent, proper care, your Breedlove will give you a lifetime of service – and inspiration. New Breedlove instruments, purchased through an authorized Breedlove dealer, are warrantied to be free of defects in materials and workmanship throughout the lifetime of the original owner. In addition to materials and workmanship, Breedlove offers a two-year warranty on tuning machines and electronics packages. Cases and bags are subject to a one-year warranty covering defects in structure and hardware.

  • Sounds good except for the B rattles

Comments about Breedlove Stage Dreadnought CE Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I use this guitar to play 3 times a month in nursing homes and my church. It played great when I first purchased it. But now the B string rattles every time I play it. I took it back to Guitar Center and they told me the neck was twisted and it would take quite a bit of work to repair it. The Guitar Technician said he was going on vacation the following he could not work on it (it was Friday afternoon). He suspected the reason for the problem was probably due to wrong humidity levels in my home where I store it. I have 10 other guitars and have never had a problem with any of the other one's. He convinced me to purchase a device that would measure the humidity so I could check it. It has the name "MUSICNOMAD" on the device. I did...and the readings I got were all good. (So much for his suggestion). I then took the guitar to another well known guitar technician and he said the problem was with the nut. He suggested I have it (the nut) replaced with a bone nut. This was not what I wanted to hear...after purchasing what I was told was a top of the line guitar. I still have not had any repairs made to it....due to warranty purposes. On my documentation it states that the instrument ...if purchased thru a authorized Breedlove dealer, is warrantied to be free of defects in material and workmanship throughout the lifetime of the original owner. Since I am the original owner what should I do now...have it fixed by just anyone....or take it back to Guitar Center where I purchased it and demand a repair under warranty?
