OVERVIEW

A classic model with an all-mahogany body and a single humbucking pickup.

The Les Paul Junior was first introduced by our legendary Kalamazoo factory in 1954 and was intended as an affordable way for beginners to get the look, sound, and feel of a real Les Paul. However, the Les Paul Junior quickly became a legend of its own. Throughout the years and in all its many incarnations, the Les Paul Junior has been an on-stage favorite for artists like Leslie West of Mountain, Keith Richards, Paul Westerberg of the Replacements, and John Lennon, who all embraced the Les Paul Junior for its lighter weight, commanding sound, and all-mahogany body.

Today, the Epiphone Les Paul Junior is still the best way for beginners to get started on a full-size guitar with real vintage Les Paul tone. And if the Les Paul Junior' rock and roll history wasn™t enough to convince you, check out Rocksmith, the breakthrough guitar video game which features the Epiphone Les Paul Junior as its go-to guitar.

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition LP Junior:

I purchased this LP Jr. several months ago and I'm still in love with this guitar. The blue burst is a little on the turquoise side but it still looks awesome. The pickup is good for the heavy stuff that I play but it's a little buzzy and dirty on cleans. Still, it's a great guitar for the price.

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition LP Junior:

This is a very nice looking guitar. It is advertised as a SET IN neck. It is a BOLT ON neck. The color is more teal than trans blue on the front , still nice color. The back , and neck are trans blue , and head stock is gloss black. The rosewood fret board was almost like binding, high gloss and smooth, like the dash on a high end car. The set up was terrible, but fixable. The intonation was way off on the bass side- E A D. The neck was loose from the body. There was a major bow in the neck, and the bridge was set too low. Once it is set up right it plays well. The tuners are cheap, but smooth . The pots are good, with nice feel and ratio. The pup works good for classic rock, both clean ,and overdrive. It is real looker, and with a good set up, a real player. Just don't expect a Set In neck.

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition LP Junior:

I already own an Epiphone Les Paul Junior in Black, but when I saw this one in Transparent Blue, I had to have it. Must say, I am very impressed. Epiphone can be a coin toss as far as quality control goes, but this one is perfect. Smooth fret ends, perfect intonation out of the box (quite a chore with this type of bridge), a smoothly functioning truss rod, no buzzing, and a gorgeous finish. This guitar is truly flawless. The tuners work as intended, but they are definately cheap ones. The single pickup sounds good, although my newer Black model (the Blue was made in 2015) definately has more output. One might gripe about the slick finish on the back of the neck, but some prefer that feel. All in all, this guitar is a gem! It was listed and sold as blemished, but arrived complete with plastic on the pickguard and back plate, alongs with all of the stickers that Epiphone likes to apply on their guitars. I'd call it mint condition.
