Don't Forget
OVERVIEW

(Open Box) Groundbreaking pickups and all the pro features.

Fender is guided by one clear, simple directive: make life better for musicians. While the original Telecaster certainly did that (and then some), they weren’t content to rest on their laurels. Fender's team of mad scientists examined every component in near-microscopic detail. If they were able to improve it with a new design or modern materials, they did; if it didn’t need improvement, they left it alone. When the wood chips and solder fumes settled, what was left was the American Professional Telecaster—everything you need to play your best.

Developed by vintage pickup master Tim Shaw, the brand-new V-Mod single-coil pickups are voiced specifically for each position, mixing alnico magnet types to produce powerful, nuanced tones with original Fender sonic DNA. The newly redesigned Telecaster bridge sports three compensated brass barrel saddles for the perfect combination of vintage style with modern feel and performance. Retain high-end clarity when adjusting the volume controls, thanks to the new treble-bleed tone circuit that lets your tone shine through in all its glory. The modern “Deep C”- shaped neck profile feels just right in your hand while the narrow-tall frets make it easy to bend strings accurately and play perfectly intonated chords.

The best of yesterday and today, the American Professional Telecaster is the latest form of electric inspiration from Fender. Step up and stake your claim to a legend.

Comments about Fender American Professional Telecaster Maple Fingerboard Electric Guitar:

My Telecaster quest has been a long one...I'm basically a hollow body guy (Gretsch), but I've wanted a decent Tele for like, forever. My current model (before this) was the Squier CV Tele, which IS a fine instrument, no doubt, but I wanted a "proper" Telecaster - so I had a few criteria that had to be met:
1. American Made
2. Maple Neck
3. Brass Saddles
Now, not only have I owned a few Telecasters over the years, most were MIM and I sold or traded all of them, because I just couldn't bond with any of them. I bought the CV Tele because I HAD to have a Telecaster in my arsenal. I tried and played all manners of Tele's (American Standard, Vintage RI) in my quest and even the Vintage Reissues I played left me seriously underwhelmed. Then this model came out...
Let me start by saying, right out of the box, this beauty was PERFECT - Flawless fit and finish, I have nearly all of my guitars professionally set up - not this time, the action was perfect. Plugged into my Swart AST, popped the switch to the bridge position, strummed an E chord, and my jaw just dropped... here was THE sound I was looking for. Just unbelievable. Now, my Gretches aren't going anywhere, but this guitar has now become my new #1 - everything about this instrument screams "quality". I'm going to stop the review here, because I'm babbling, but the bottom line is this: This is the Telecaster I've been waiting for, I couldn't be happier. BTW, I got the Black model with the mint pickguard.

Boy never forgets his first...

Comments about Fender American Professional Telecaster Maple Fingerboard Electric Guitar:

I had always wanted a telecaster, always have admired the classic look and sound. I went into guitar center and thought I would love the all rosewood neck mint green version, while that did look and feel great , the GC employee said try this one out. Playing a tele is a bit different than the other electrics I've owned (LP studio, 335, start). It took a while to dig into the guitar to find the sounds I like, but once you find them you know. Best thing about the guitar is the neck, every time you feel the neck its friendly and wanting to be played. Solid features throughout the guitar. One thing I was a bit surprised about was the weight, much heavier than the all rosewood neck version or most strats. Also a bit of buzz when playing lowere strings past the 9th fret, which I thing is ok especially with teles as it doesn't get picked up thru an amp and adds a little bit of the twang.

For me a tele is symbol of simplicity, with two knobs and a 3 way switch there's a lot of possibilities in this guitar. I got the guitar with 45 days period to return, and I'm not sure I want to let this thing go.

Pure fender enthusiasts will say that this new line is blasphemy. Probably have a point, but it's a powerful instrument that looks and feels great

This is the best feeling guitar I've ever held. The neck is big, makes it really comfortable to play for long sessions. That along with the tall frets gives it an easy playing feel.
The sound is great. It has a wide range of tones. My Les Paul has a deeper crunch but the telecaster holds its own. The sound for fuzz through clean is making it my go to guitar. Of course the beautiful finish and maple wood doesn't hurt!

First off a huge thank you to Musician's Friend for selling me this amazing guitar at an amazing price. It showed up on time, was packaged well and arrived in flawless condition.
This is my first Telecaster so I can't make any comparisons to any others, but I can say that the deep "C" neck will go down in history as one of the greatest necks ever attached to a solid body guitar. The neck has a very comfortable feel and I would have narrow tall frets on all of my guitars. The pickups sound great. The controls and tuners feel solid and the finish (3 color sunburst) looks gorgeous. The hard shell case is nice and seems to be of good quality. I tuned up, popped in The Cars and jammed on some Elliot Easton. I quickly came to the conclusion that this guitar is just what I needed and will definitely hang on to it. Let the good times roll.

Comments about Fender American Professional Telecaster Maple Fingerboard Electric Guitar:

I have been passively looking for a Telecaster ever since I sold mine (5 years). I feel true tele feel and sound comes from the original. I've had my brother's 52 reissue for a year and a half. It's is the real deal, but the radius is a problem for me. It frets out on bends in certain areas of the fret board. This guitar is a dream for me, it has all the stuff I love on the 52, brass saddles, alder body and maple neck. The neck the top selling point. Miles better then the 52. Part of me misses the 52 pick ups, however you can get amazing warmth out of these pick ups. This is a great pick up set very rich harmonic sound. You can also dial in a very tele bark, punch, the ice pick, what ever you want to call it. My only issue now, I want to put heavier strings on it, but I want to learn to chicken pick. Time will tell, I also don't want to mess up the intonation and set up, it is very close right out of the box. Nice job Fender!

Comments about Fender American Professional Telecaster Maple Fingerboard Electric Guitar:

I have purchased several guitars and amps from Musician's Friend's over the years and have always wanted an American Telecaster to add to my collection. This particular model appealed to me because of the reviews on the authentic sounding pickups, as well as the newer neck design. I can happily say that Fender hit it out of the park with this product as it is one sweet sounding, easy to play guitar. In addition, I might add that in the past I had purchased condition 1 bless and this was a condition 2 so I was a bit skeptical - but it was as described. A minor 1/4 inch scratch barely noticeable and for the savings a no-brained.
