Designed with the performing artist in mind, RainSong's Concert Hybrid Series, which includes this CH-WS with K&K Sound Pure Mini electronics, harmoniously blends the best features from all of Rainsong's lines. The designers matched the warm and responsive unidirectional carbon soundboard from the Concert Series, the mellow carbon/glass body construction from the Hybrid Series and the intimate short-scale 12-fret neck. The CH-WS's stunning high-gloss finish on the soundboard is complemented by a visually pleasing satin body and the comfortable playability of a satin neck. Blacked-out appointments give all Concert Hybrid Series instruments an understated yet distinctly suave appearance. 

WS Shape
Combining the best qualities of large and small bodied guitars, RainSong's WS shape is ideally suited for a variety of musical situations. A large, deep chamber gives the WS strong projection and rich bass. The narrow waist and tight upper bout allow for a ringing treble, good balance and clear definition of individual notes. Overall, the WS is impeccably balanced. The shapely curves and light weight make the WS a comfortable guitar to cradle or stand with. The extra deep cutaway encourages playing up the fretboard.

This CH-WS model adds onboard K&K Sound Pure Mini electronics for great studio and live performance. The Pure Mini is K&K Sound's award-winning, signature pickup for steel string acoustic guitars. The Pure Mini is a 3-head, bridge plate transducer. It features super balanced, flat sound transmission, warm woody tone without any quack and superior dynamic range all over the guitar's frequency spectrum known for its loud output.

Bridge plate transducers are the optimal choice for achieving a rich, natural guitar sound. The Pure's position on the bridge plate provides the perfect balance of sound, picking up all the strings without sounding harsh or percussive and "listening" to the sound board to amplify the unique characteristics of your guitar. The result is a warm, full-range signal that sounds great even without a preamp.
